This is the only information I have found that says it is ok to use a crimp ring on Pex A. Pex A pipe seems to have advantages over Pex B because it is more flexible. As a do it yourself guy I can not justify the 300+$$$ pipe expander power tool to to make use of the expansion rings. Ii can live with slightly reduced flow by using compression rings. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I have been that using a crimp ring on Pex A ,that the pipe will fight to expand in the way that it tries to compress lead to a failure--evr heard that one?
Outside diameter of of all pex pipes are the same. You can use crimp rings on all of them. Pex A is only pipe that can be expanded and not have the potential to crack. Pex A will also contract to it's original diameter every time with an expansion ring on it. Great stuff.
There is a class action lawsuit involving Uponor blue and red PEX- A pipe. Pipe is splitting at the expansion rings. White pipe is not affected.
Great demonstration, exactly what I was looking for!

Nice Truck !
There are several class action lawsuits involving PEX A cracking at the retainer.
Nothing last forever

Can I use a fitting for a compression ring with pex a pipe with an expansion ring??

What planet is this guy from? His "count of 8" was actually 14.36 seconds... lol
I think it was how many times he expanded the pipe not the time
Plus he is using a tool that auto rotates. Plus he is using the PEX A tubing with PEX B fittings.
@@SouthFloridaSound If you look his tool is not auto rotating.
@@ron2368right, it looks like it is not auto rotating, but it is supposed to. I have the same tool and it auto rotates.
Check all crimps with no-go
If it's not leaking it's not suddenly going too. No need
