If you think Taylor Swift's lyrics aren't deep, then you must not be very familiar with her work. The Band Perry actually toured with her. There's no reason to pit great musicians against each other.
They tried to go "pop" like Taylor Swift did, as opposed to staying up their original roots. And it failed miserably. It's sad watching the lead singer (Kimberly) go downhill into obesity and plastic surgery...she let Nashville get to her head and make terrible decisions for the band and for herself.
