You are very talented and do Beautiful transformations. It's good to DIY brands you admire but certainly pieces are priced out of your budget! I've done this type of decorating for precisely that reason, My funds were limited but I wanted nice things to decorate my home. My Mother taught by exampless and her daughters took up her teachings on how to look at anything and reproduce it to her Liking. I was an admirer of MCKenzie- Childs for many years. I loved the Whimsy of the Brand. Upon learning of McKenxie -Childs hostile Take over by another company after the original developers. had financial trouble . I lost a great deal of respect for the " New Owners" of the Brand. However, Inspiration can be used by ALL brilliant artist without infringement on original design. I appreciate your dedication to Victoria and Richards original concepts and making their talent your Gift of instructions to DIY those of us who love Serendipity in our homes. Keep up the fabulous work. 🙏✌💜

I am thrilled this video has helped you feel more confident about painting the courtly check pattern, Margaret!! 😀 I have several videos showing how I paint the courtly check pattern on all different things. I put one up today painting pumpkin candleholders that you might enjoy. Blessings, friend 🤗
Fabulous! You are one of the first I have come across that actually shows the type of paint used. It’s so frustrating when people doing a “tutorial” don’t show their materials. I’m just starting so it’s very helpful.
Thank you, Kim, for the nice comment!! I try and always show what I use in each of my videos. I have a playlist with several MacKenzie Child's Inspired things. ua-cam.com/play/PLCn1gJTinzumLyhi3P8h3mjX2xPRndWQB.html I hope you'll enjoy watching some of the different things you can makeover!! Blessings 🤗
I watched this on June 20th, 2021 Father's day as it happens. I have been watching a few other how to paint Mackensie Childs similar projects. Your video was the first and only one that actually showed measuring out the stripes and checks. I watched about half of this video and immediately went into my craft room and pencil marked a plain $1 terra cotta flower pot that I had painted chalk white a few weeks ago. I then painted black stripes on the top rim and black checks on the bottom. Now it is no way near as fancy as your candle sticks, but it is only a flower pot. I'm letting the black dry now and when it is dry, I will go back over the white with a fresh coat of white chalk paint. Then I have some bronze chalk paint that is truly loverly, and I will see if I can add some dots to the pot. I have fancy dotting tools from when I did Mandala dot painting on rocks, so I will use them today. And of course, I subscribed to your site as well.
Irene, I am so excited that you are painting your flower pot in this way!! I'm sure it is going to turn out beautiful!! I am so glad to have you as a new UA-cam friend!! Thanks for sharing your sweet comment with me!! 🌷 Blessings 🌷
I really appreciate how easy you make this to follow. What type of paint brushes are they and what size brush do you use? I’m a new subscriber Thank you 💐

Awe, thank you!! It is nice to know you have really liked my MC projects, my friend!! I have certainly enjoyed doing them!! Did you notice I did something of a tray on my coffee/hot cocoa bar...well, a cake stand...LOL! Start small, right?? Blessings for a happy, safe, and healthy 2021, my dear friend!! ❤️❤️
You should never add water to the paint in the bottle as it may contaminate it. Pour the paint on to a separate plate or container then add the water. If there is any left over throw it out
I was going to ask the same question! The images at the end had a satin look to the paint - not glossy, but certainly not matte either! I know she said she used something other than matte white when she went back to touch up the white, but I was getting the same satin feel off the black at the end.
The candlesticks are lovely Bee. I like how you staged them so that the difference in height was greater - perfect! Happy New Year Bee, to you and your family!
Happy New Year to you also, my dear friend!! I, as always, am happy to know you like my latest Mackenzie Childs inspired project!! I love that I can use these year-round! Blessings for a wonderful, safe, and healthy 2021!!

I want to buy those, how much?
They're lovely- I really like how you were able to draw those guidelines without measuring! Did you coat them with a clear spray after?
