Now THIS is the guy i was thinking about earlier. As for the " Englishman pretending to be a samurai for shits and giggles." part, that is actually based on a real guy from history named William Adams who in the early 1600's became a samurai, he wasn't even the first non-japanese guy to do so either though he was the first white guy. William Adams story is also the loose basis for the game Nioh.
Neat. I legitimately didn't know about that, nor about him being the basis for Nioh. You'd think as a history guy I would have known that one, but I guess I'm more interested in events than persons. Also, non-English people might not get this but to me it's perfectly understandable that someone from Gillingham would happily travel half-way across the world and become a Samurai rather than continue living there.
Wouldn't have gotten this if it wasn't for Rasmus' comment. Fascinating piece of history; I always thought the "European samurai" thing was a bit mythological. Turns out being weeaboo is a fine and established tradition.
Ultra-Fanatics of Specific Countries: We unnecessarily use some of the country's words in conversations and we boldly claim to know the culture. Arthur: I liked Japan so much I correctly wore samurai armor and properly used a katana against warriors around the world. Insert generic "a weeb before it was cool" sort of punchline here.
I may not be the only one here, but he essentially reminds me of Paul Phoenix from Tekken. His Soul Calibur III appearance makes it quite more apparent. And speaking of SCIII, even if we're not yet there, how about I let you see this video? ua-cam.com/video/kaKcppmLNzg/v-deo.html
Now the "Tekken 5 moves in SoulCalibur III" thing I actually did know; both came out in 2005 on PS2 of course, so I was playing both quite a bit at the time and noticing things like that, given that for the created movesets they were pretty apparent to me. Still quite interesting though; does explain how Namco was able to shove so many unique styles into a game so quickly, but SCIII is big on variety so I wouldn't exactly call it a bad thing.
Dreamcast port will be soon. As in, like, tomorrow. Yoshi looks pretty awesome in SCVI. Would be pretty weird to not have him included by this point, so I'm not only glad that he got added but that they actually took the time to give him a brilliant design too.
This would be "World, SOC14/VER. C" version, it's the default one on MameUI. And the emulator I used is MameUI; search it via google to find the latest version, it's updated quite regularly.
Ah I didn't think you were e going to cover him, I forgot how thorough you are when covering these series. off topic question. Recently modders have found a way to turn on the boss flags for the Mishima's and Akuna, will you revisit tk7 to cover these characters?
Mind sending me a link to those mods? I'm certainly not against revisiting Tekken 7 if it's possible to cover them now, and I meant to return to it at some point anyway to cover Geese and Noctis.
AdmiralMcFish - Bosses and Hidden Characters Unfortunately, right now the creator of the mod has no intention of releasing it right now.I will let you know if he does though
There is a youtube channel called Shadowrunner2730 there yoy will find videos showcasing the characters and some contact info. Maybe you can convince him it seems he did share the mod with The Mainmanswe so he could combo video.
Nah, no dice, guy doesn't seem interested in sharing it with me. Good to know I still have literally no influence after all these years; I can't wait to finish this stuff next year and move on from this excuse of a hobby.

It is one of those moments where history is just hella unrealistic. The other guy i mentioned is even more so.
i mean he looks pretty badass honestly with the whole eye patch and everything
And now he's in Soulcalibur VI
The Korean Version Replace Miyamoto Musashi to a William Adams Knockoff.
SC Arcade is full of surprises, didn' t know about this blonde guy!
He only replaces Mitsurugi in certain versions of the game, so it's entirely possible to outright miss him. Definitely something of an oddity though.
Then, Arthur wanted a new job; Koei Tecmo hired him and Nioh was born!
Surprisingly true, really.
Makes you wanna play Nioh

until soul calibur 3, where he stops wielding the katana like a normal samurai and starts fighting weird
nevermind, aparently, that's a real stance (water stance, i found out after watching a gameplay trailer of ghost of Tsushima)

If Soul Calibur gets ported in Korea, they have to Censor Mitsurugi for a One-Eyed White Samurai.
I was hopin' you'd be focusin' on the Dreamcast port. There I can share my experiences :u
Anyway, whaddya think of Yoshi in SCVI?

Which version of SC is this and which emulator are you using? It looks and plays great. The one I have has several graphical glitches and issues.

@@AdmiralMcFish you are the best. Thank you

请问在mame中怎样调出所有的人物,难道只能等到一定天数后自动解锁?
Pugsy's Cheats for mame
You need to download and use Pugsy's Cheats for Mame; they're otherwise time-released and take too long to unlock otherwise.
Hei mcfish how i can play with him
He's only available in certain versions of the arcade version where he replaces Mitsurugi.
Thanks to your answer
Hei mr.admiralmcfish your logo is rugal Bernstein?
It is, yes.
