This is so awesome, though Nixon would have hated that this happened at his library! Sounds so familiar to todays events. Nothing new.

Ironic? So say some of you. Im not here to say hurrah or nay for anyone in this conversation. We've all heard the smoking gun tape. Again ironic for those who seem to have widdled life down to simply either red or blue all's I can say in response is: I'll wish you luck. Blessings.

Woodward seamlessly rescues Bradlee numerous times after Bradlee misstates details he can no longer accurately recall. This is not a criticism. Bradlee is older and his health is fragile.

You would do better to listen to Carl Bernstein interview. Neither Woodward or Bernstein broke the Watergate break-in story. The initial story published June 18, 1972 with the CIA connection and a detailed description of the 5 burglars and the equipment they brought to the office was broken by Alfred E. Lewis. It was entitled "5 Held in Plot to Bug Democrats' Office Here." Mr. Lewis was a police beat reporter who because of his close relationship with the police had access to the scene of the crime. Now this detailed information came from me researching Lewis after Bernstein mentioned him. The story can still be read.

Perhaps Nixon would want the dialogue. One thing that Nixon was that our current politicians aren't is polished and full of image control. Nixon was more "Here I am" compared to presidents of late who are full of changing the record or "massaging" history.

Naftali was so delighted to have these two jerks at the Nixon Library because he was anti Nixon. It was a disgrace that he would be appointed to be director of the library.

You should donate to the library so you can actually do something about it besides whining.

The only one who was Anti-Nixon was Nixon himself. Listen to his own words on the tapes he recorded, they are all available. If you don't do it, you simply want to live with a lie. He had every reason to fight against the release of these tapes, the last only 2 years after his death. They show that he even lied in court AFTER his pardon, giving testimony about the selling of ambassadorships for cash. To make things worse, today we know that his greek friend he used for getting cash was working for the greek intelligence.
      He was a criminal.

Who is Naftali? Pleas enlighten me Bill Holstein. I have to say, seeing these two at the Nixon Library is a little strange , considering…. Well, considering things that I know nothing about, because I was a baby at the time. However, I have always been very interested in the Watergate history , because it just never made sense to me…. Why would CRP order a break in at the DNC, why were people from The Bay Of Pigs and CIA linked to the whitehouse? Then, in 2005 or so we get an andwer to who was Deep Throat…. Which really opened up my eyes.

@@ThomasKossatz Bradlee hated Nixon since 1948. He considered Nixon to be an unsophisticated, uncultured, barbarian from the west. He felt Nixon was beneath the dignity of the east coast, ivy league establishment.
