I love the idea of using fruit ends / peels for infused water! I don't know why I never thought of that. I love infused water but I hate using whole fruit in it because it feels like the fruit goes to waste... Using the bits that are typically discarded anyway is so smart! Great tips, thanks :)
I've been binge watching all your youtube videos since this morning😊 Im am currently trying to slim down..I am about 350lbs. And I love the healthy ideas on your channel thanks so much for the information its AWESOME!
I don't have a juicer but I frequently make some home made oat milk or nut milk. The leftover pulps are obviously good for baking too. Use just like you would use ground almonds or other ground nuts and oat flour. Just keep in mind the extra liquid they absorbed.
Herb storage hack. Knew about putting them in water but didn't know about then putting a bag over the top and storing in the fridge like that. My bought herbs are always going yellow before I get through them all so I will definitely be trying this hack. Thanks!
SO many great ideas! I'm intrigued by the stock and composting. Would you do a video on like "how to compost" something I'm interested in but seriously lack knowledge!
Omg I don’t think I have ever loved a video more!!!!!❤️❤️❤️ please do more of these waste hacks😍 they were amazing I just threw away onion peels and now I’m kicking myself
@@HealthNutNutrition I love infusing my water but never thought to use my leftover peels! I had a tangerine this morning and coulda used it. I will use this tip from now on. ♡
Fruit ends and veggie skins will have pesticide residue, unless you know they are grown in your garden I would not use them. They are simply not worth putting them in stock.
Exactly! Her broth had such a dark color because of the dirt all in the roots of them and the ends of strawberries aren't used for a reason. Why put them in something you would drink/eat
@@melinadiaz8628 well, i tried it and did not get rid of all of the soil.. not long after I had a serious problem and could not eat anything and I was throwing up after drinking tea, so yes, maybe id did not kill me but I was a zombie for half of the year..
Paulina Keska oh no! This is why we wash our fruits and veggies. I got salmonella once from unwashed lettuce. But I don’t think it was from the dirt itself
You can actually make healthy burger, fries and pizza. For burger, just use whole weat bread, use something non oily and processed as a patty(it only takes about 5 minutes to make a patty out of beans and oats (plus spices)), look at the ingredients of sauces; a great one is mixing low sugar barbecue sauce with soy sauce and tomatoe paste and some veggies (this gives you a good balance of carbs, protein and fat feom the cooking oil). For fries just slice potatoes and put them with a bit of oil into the oven. For pizza use a tortilla as the dough and use tomatoe paste and some nice toppings without a ton of oil. This pizza will only have about 300 kcals
add nutmeg to the vegetable stock! It brings it to the next level. Also, if you are an omnivore and need meat stock, just add uncooked bones etc. to the freezer bag and proceed to make the stock as shown in the video. I made a delicious stock by using the leftover fat of a giant block of raw ham. My roommate looked at me as if I was crazy but loved the final product in the end (it made for a delicious Ramen)
Hi! I really can't stop watching your videos! They are great :) I wanted to know if you have any Food waste hack for tomato sauce. I Always buy a medium jar, but I don't use it straight away after the first time I open it, so I end up throwing it out. Maybe keep it in the fridge? What do you suggest? I don't actually like the idea of defrosting it after in the microwave. Thanks for sharing! :)
I would LOVE to see an updated food waste hacks or recipe hacks video now that you're a momma! ❤ maybed geared towards how u can implement that in making food for toddlers/babies (doing BLW).
Love this video!!!! I love the peanut butter jar hack, will try it once we are done eating the peanut butter! I love the reusable bags that you used as well!
The last one was my fav. I hardly ever eat bananas in time even when I only buy 3 at a time. I might chop them up and then freeze for smoothies. Thank you!
For a lot of veggie pieces like the leek and wilted ones I throw them in a soup so less is composted and makes me a meal. I eat my strawberry tops lol. And another idea for bread is bread crumbs
I usually make a peanut butter sauce with soy sauce and lime juice with the leftover peanut butter. I don't have breakfast, hence overnight oats aren't really a thing for me.
when celery gets wilted: lay flat in a bunch of water for a while... the water will rush into the celery's cell and it will be nice and stiff all over again. if you leave it too long- then they will be too stiff so be careful how long u leave it
Love your video as always. My husband and I are really trying to move towards reducing our trash meaning reusable bags, no water bottles, no ziplocks, etc. Thanks to you ;) My question is, what do you do about your Cashew poop bags? We have a dog and we've always used the plastic bags for Newman's poop. What do you do for that? I guess I'm asking for a poop hack LOL 😂
@@HealthNutNutrition Yes!!! I did it and lasted me like 2 or more weeks in the fridge since we were buying in bulks. Work great with scallions minus putting it on the fridge.
definitely the veggie-scrap-stock video. I've heard of that, but never seen the outcome really, and, I guess (same with the infused water) if you have organic scraps and wash them well, ain't no problem with using them :-) loved this video, it's been a while since I watched one ^_^'
I think yes, but you can only use them for smoothies or baking after thawing. For raw eating the consistancy whould be weird. I think I heard that from Allyssiah from Mind over Munch.
It's a little funny to me she used filtered water for her stock but doesn't care about all the dirt and grime clearly visible in those roots! Of course your brother is dark brown you literally have dirt in it 😂

Question, if you're not using organic fruit and veg won't the pesticide residues on the skins leech into the infused water..?
Awesome tips. Thank you! My favourite was peanut butter overnight oats, and vegetable stock
Hope you get a chance to try them! 🥑
@@HealthNutNutrition I will try them. Such a generous giveaway. Thanks for the chance at winning

How do you wash your silicon bags???
They are dishwasher safe, or just rinse them out with a dishcloth and hot water. Very easy to clean!
I like to use a bottle cleaner to get a good scrub.
Try silicone baking liners instead of paper!
