@@CloroxBleach0 TV show director isn't the exact same job as a movie director. On TV, the person who has the ultimate creative authority is the showrunner. Since being the showrunner means spending a lot of time pitching new ideas to the writing staff, rewriting scenes and making modifications to the script, showrunners frequently hire someone else to direct the filming of an episode according to their input, while they're busy with everything else.
The creators and showrunners of Better Call Saul are Vince Guilligan and Peter Gould, one of the main writers in Breaking Bad.
During season 3, Vince Guilligan realized he needed to find free time in his schedule so he could focus on directing and producing El Camino. To do this, he moved on to an executive position on Better Call Saul, which left Peter Gould as the sole showrunner.
But after finishing El Camino, he found himself with more free time again, so even though Peter Gould kept being the sole showrunner, Vince Gilligan started to get more directly involved with the show again, writing specific scenes, especially ones that correlate with the Breaking Bad storyline, and eventually arranged to direct this episode himself, giving it a very "Breaking Bad feel"

Actually really good attention to detail. Normally movies with scope cross-hair camera shots, like "Shooter" staring -Matt Damon- Mark Wahlberg, don't accurately portray range. For instance, at 1:55 Mike is using a Mil-Dot reticle, meaning the distance between any two dots is 1 mili-radian (one-thousandths of the distance from the observer to the target). So given that the average human is something like 170 cm + change and would stand about level with the truck, that would make ~170cm about 3 mils.
170cm / 3 = 56.6 cm per mil. So 1/1000 of the distance is 56.6cm, meaning they were about ~566 meters away at 1:55 and about 378 meters away at 2:21

Don’t get the logic here… once the driver spotted Jimmy and is coming for him, have Jimmy run off the road (the driver must be wondering why he doesn’t react to the car noises the way it is) and hide behind a rock or something. The driver would be forced to get out of the car and go after jimmy on foot - or at the very least slow down considerably - giving mike an easy shot and the both of them a ride…
