I'm a hospitality professional and former competetive athlete. Providing the kind of food these athletes need to compete is NOT rocket science. Eggs,chicken, fish, fruits, salad bars, vegtables roasted in bulk on on sheet pans, grains like quinuoa, pasta dishes, etc. If the quality of the food is this poor, it's because it was not made a priority.

5b. No air conditioning for athletes. Some countries resorted to flying over their own ACs.

I know first hand. Potted bird meat. Pigeon meat. Horse meat etc. Cant get a real pizza. Best you can get is ham sauce and cheese lol. All separate toppings. Other than that you can have anchovies or some other weird stuff

One guy was giving er on it rest of us were like ew. He said i knows what this is and wouldn't tell us. Then we weren't eating it anyways and he told us it's horse meat. And it was. Wasn't good at all

Our Australian team flew in their own cooling system. The athletes could not sleep in the heat. Very poor show France
