The Segway of taking about weird fish to weird fishes by Radiohead on you ukulele was the chefs kiss. Almost as much as your dock honoring your grandfather. Bravo to you, Stevon the renaissance man.
The dock came out absolutely beautiful my dude ^_^ The vibe you've crafted up there is so lovely even the local wildlife is enjoying it! I've never seen ducks relaxing so peacefully that close to a person who's actively working on something before. They were so happy! Sad I missed the premiere again, unfortunately we had some really bad weather rolling through including the rare tornado we haven't had in over 10 years lol. oh! btw, last week i commented that my grandparents had a gazebo made of white oak that existed on their property since before I was born up until they moved to Florida and beyond. Well, I drove past there for the first time in a couple of years on Saturday and it's STILL THERE!! and it's in fantastic shape!!! That gazebo is going to outlast humanity at this point lol. Hope you're doing well out there Steven!!!
Loop the last 50 sec for a few hours and I'd listen to it through my earbuds every night to go to sleep. Perfection. Enjoy the deck my guy, you've earned it.
Another great Sunday afternoon watching hard wood get laid , now go to Florida and fix Tavarish’s dock it’s atrocious! Nicely done Stevon! Your grandpa would be proud!
That is a really nice looking dock, your gramps would be real proud of you doing something so intricate especially in the day of plastic decking and uninspired style. love it
Its a Small deck but it ain't the size of your deck it's how you use. I know a few guy huge deck biggest deck I ever saw not that I'm staring at guys decks all day, but if you ain't using your deck what's the point
Documentation? More like dock-umentation, amirite? Anyhoo, love how this project turned out! Edit: Also, trimming that bush definitely made your dock look bigger.

Cool, cool cool cool UA-cam tells me there is this dude Tavarnish who desperately need some help with his wood. Perhaps you could give him a helping hand?
Amazing view, such talented hands! When do we get a “Big Dock Yoga with Stevon” video? Who wouldn’t want to wake up to this? And watch it over and over again.
Looks good, Steven. Question (from a non-woodworker): why didn't you stain the edges of the boards? I would think you'd want them sealed on all six surfaces.
It all depends upon the use-case / scenario. Stain and sealer of this type is not 100% going to keep all moisture out, and doing all sides will create more of an unwanted moisture barrier. The goal here is to bead the top and UV protect it, though allow the hardwood to also breath. Take the original white oak header for example, it’s been covered and not fully exposed, and it’s lasted perfectly preserved for over 50 years. That’s the beauty of a good hard wood. Its resilience, and ability to air out is just as important as its direct protection.
Are you able to update about legal stuff? Will you ever be able to be on a previous UA-cam channel? Are you guys still friends? No more ankle monitor? Just curious if you're able to talk about any of it.
That's a damn nice deck. Loved all the edits to add to all the sayings and segways!
I scrolled so many miles to arrive here. so.. many.. miles! 🤣
Trimming the bush to make the deck look a little bigger - it's a solid tip for everyone 👍
I can appreciate the subtle hint and shoulder shrug... it certainly did enlarge everything.

Great job Stevon!!
When you trim the bush it makes sitting on the deck more inviting…..or so I have been told
I was told that too, seems accurate
How beautiful this was! Stunning project and even more stunning reference to Radiohead!
You know Tavarish may need some dock assistance... Though your deck's view beats everything in Florida.
Nice!!!

Nice deck kudos for the correct pronunciation of stroopwafel.
Great work Stevon. Can't wait to see what you get up to next.... speaking of I have a deck in dire need of replacing if you need a project.
Come for the *Wood* talk, stay for the *Deck* jokes..
There's something to be said to using tools that are passed down. I have my grandfather's and dads tools. Keep up the great work!
That's a nice place to sit without a phone and to take in nature's beauty. Thanks for sharing.

Dude, you could have left it on that shot of you strumming the ukalale on the dock for hours and I would have watched the whole thing.
That was an amazing adventure to watch from start to finish 🎉nice job Stevan
