I really would have liked to see the Galibier launch... Sadly that just didn't happen. I still can't understand why they cancelled the production of Galibier. It could have been the most beautiful and luxurious car ever.
Hello. It's been five years I know. This beautiful sedan was axed at the last minute because VW thought it was too ugly. They just confirmed it.

wow, from the way the hood opens, to the tail lights and the whole shape of the car, to the watch peice that serves as a kind of multi functional hidden key, this car is really beautiful. Ettore bugatti would be blown away by what his company has become.
Whoever decided to cancel this project has made a mistake of great proportions.

Everybody has a dream, The Bugatti Galibier is the car of my dream. Someday I'll have it if God allows it.
That was a concept and so is this, I find this more likely to hit the market than the 'extended Veyron', which is the only one I can recall seeing with four doors, this would slot in the higher end Rolls, Bentley spectrum in terms of class and comfort but with one key difference, this would outperform them all, it would be the most outrageous production car in existence if it got made, miles more than a Veyron (which is bred for speed and only speed)

As much as I'd like to get this car, its too expensive for me. But I must say, Bugatti has done themselves well in putting together luxury, performance, and technology in the Galibier. Bugatti I still find still ahead of its time.
I agree, it's stunning, I wish more car companies did styling like this, borrow so heftily from past cars to create something unique.
If it got made (small chance), and I made enough money to buy it (an abysmally small chance) I would get it in a heartbeat!

@@88boat because Bugatti will not make one off 4 door sedans due to other vip clients who will be upset. He wanted 4 door “hypercar” but ended up buying Mulsanne and Pagani at the same time

@@88boat you missing my point, the car never was made and wouldn’t be. I also assume it would be crazy expensive to do one off variants, way more than if it was production model of 400- 500 units or so. Price will be so high that even people who can afford won’t buy it. He needed daily car but definitely not over $3M. He has McLaren F1 in one of one colors as well that worth $24M. Sorry didn’t understand your last question…

Bugatti's creator was Italian, they still have big portion of Italian designers on-board...and to say there isn't passion behind these cars is ludicrous, they were born for that purpose alone, to be mental, out of this world. In this model they have perfected the art, taken the power and technology of the Veyron and merged it with the most intense and daring styling I have seen on a four door saloon, looking like a breed of the old and new.
That looked great I know they will not do that as that is a veyron based car however it is good looking

I would be interested in when this car will be built in series. Some magazines write 2013 or 2014, but there was nothing new at IAA. Also a new Veyron was indirectly announced by F. Piech last year, but there is also no further information about that project.
