I don't know who has the person who came up with the idea of making the final battle against the Demon King Picolo the tutorial for the new combat system... But hope it got a well deserved promotion and good food.
I did, I came with the idea just because it had to happen, to see how we may learn about the new ground combat system if the entire DLC was going to be that one tournament, thus I came with the idea of controlling Kid Goku fighting Demon King Piccolo, just for what's to come in the future

they should have done a prequel game so we could play as kid goku in a open world style game with a kakarot fighting system. the only downside to it is not getting the original kid goku english voice actor but it be fun to play.

@@kelonpieiirc OG DB does have filler episodes between the Big Arcs, though I personally like them. They last an episode or two and have some cool fights or cute stories, though they're very short.

no I still can't get over it. Colleen is a phenomenal actor, portrays Gohan perfectly, but it is SO wrong on Kid Goku. She's too serious for Goku, Goku is hella laid back, goofy, etc, and Stephanie did that perfectly but it doesnt fit with Colleen. It's just wrong lol.
I respectfully disagree with the take that “she’s too serious” for Goku. Kid Goku while laid back took things very serious when needed, hell I’d argue that kid Goku is more serious than adult Goku. That being said, while I love Colleen (she is my preferred kid/teen Gohan voice after all.) and even think that she has her moments as kid Goku I agree that she doesn’t fit. Her voice is very soft spoken and sounds to intellectual, which again while perfect for kid/teen Gohan isn’t for Goku. Kid Goku is rather naive and brash, not to mention older than Gohan as he’s 12 at the start of og dragon ball and 15, going on 16 when this fight that’s place. So the more raspy voice in my opinion fits better because Goku would have just started going through puberty when og dragon ball started would be head first in middle of puberty by the time of this fight.
Muscle Tower and everything is on the map. I would love being able to to one man the whole red ribbon army as kid goku. They already got the robots and everything. Also I would enjoy actually traveling the map more as kid goku as everything will seem more grounded and OG Dragon Ball was more of an adventure anime compared to DBZ.

Bro og dragon ball has better fight choreography than Z and Super (Out side of a few fights from Z and Super of course) Goku vs Jackie Chan (aka master roshi) Goku vs Krillin Yamaha vs Tien Goku vs Tien Goku vs mercenary Tao Goku vs Tambourine I could keep going, og dragon ball has way more memorable fights than this.

In Kakarot you kinda just fly past everything, imagine playing as kid Goku and having to run around the map to get from place to place, and later unlocking the flying Nimbus.
... Can they just make a whole game with us playing as kid Goku... Or just an adaptation of the rest of original Dragon Ball... Im already planning to buy this game just for this DLC, and they already have some assets, so they can go the extra length... Pretty please CC2...
So this DLC is pretty much like a first showing of the new combat system. They clearly put some work into it so I suspect we'll see more DLCs that use it (so like more OG DB and the Tournament of Power since no flying there)

Y'know, i really love the fact that Colleen deepened her voice for Kid Goku so that he'd sound more like a teen.
She's pretty much doing her luffy voice
And Sean also raised his voice so he sounded a pitch higher than normal for Teen Goku too. A neat, nice touch.
