It Takes A Volunteer-Zakai Zeigler

Last February, mathematics major and point guard for Tennessee basketball Zakai Zeigler received heartbreaking news-his family’s home in Queens, New York, had been destroyed in a fire. Vols near and far pitched in with donations and support, and their generosity helped the family get back on their feet. Zeigler credits the Volunteer community with fueling his work on the court and in the classroom as well as his service in programs like Hoops for Hope, which benefits the Down Syndrome Awareness Group of East Tennessee.
