One of the few “reboot” shows/movies, who paid homage to the original without being unimaginably stupid.

Kreese's words "Just like how I trained you" definitely gives me a chilling sensation down my spine... Goosebumps, to be honest
This show definitely made me not only just a bigger fan of the iconic franchise but also a bigger fan of the 80's. Boy, what an era!
Johnny Lawrence character looks like he is starting to grow evolve and change for the better
And yet he fell for Kreeces lie
The big question, does Johnny try to take back Cobra Kai?
@@tomkelly4496
No
I really love how they brought Kreese back. It’s good to know after all those years he never forgot about his beloved dojo
I can't get over how subtle, but powerful 28:56 and everything that leads up to it is. Johnny starts to remember what his sensei taught him many years ago when he was young. To always be a winner, but then he snaps back to the present and sees what's in the mirror. A dude who spent most of his years abandoning his son, getting wasted alone while being stuck mentally in his glory days.

I truly love Johnnys change of character in this season. He gained a sense of Honor and mercy. By far the best character in the show! So well written!
You gotta love Miguel, whatever he has on his mind, he’ll talk about it. He doesn’t try to hide, he confronts his problems and try to resolve them the best way he could. He’s the only real Karate Kid in the series so far.
@Drum Fingerr i agree robby fits better as a cobra kai and miguel seems like hed be a better miyagi do

Ok now you just going to far
Johnny did karate for years before Daniel so it makes sense he has better form. Daniel got lucky to have someone like Miyagi teaching him. He was one on one with a master and it showed in his progress.

"Cobra Kai's BACK baby!" -Johnny Lawrence
When he said “he is a better man then you will ever be” I spat my water out
Robby is right, Daniel & Miyagi-Do preach self-defense & balance whereas Cobra Kai preaches no mercy & fighting just for the sake of fighting!!!
@@DragonHeart613 The OLD Cobra Kai taught that! But Johnny punished Miguel & Hawk for that already and made his entire class white-belts again to start over, taking out the "no mercy" part in order to be more honorable. It's Kreese's return and his influence that ruins everything.
@@KenDaKingArrives I agree that Johnny is trying to redeem Cobra Kai & it was awesome to see him punish Miguel & Hawk for their actions last season but now that Kreese has successfully manipulated Johnny into allowing him back into both his life & into Cobra Kai, Johnny is in danger of being consumed by the dark side all over again!!!
It's clear that Kreese learned a thing or two about psychological warfare from his infamous old friend: Terry Silver!!! The old Kreese would've just kept physically antagonizing & threatening Johnny non-stop just as he did in the opening scene of TKK2 but now here is Kreese using mindgames & false modesty just like Silver did in TKK3 in order to worm his way back into Johnny's good graces so he can inevitably scheme to retake Cobra Kai & ensure that it remains as twisted as it's always been!!!
It's gonna be a Cobra Kai civil war and Miyagi-Do is gonna find itself smack-dab in the middle of it!!!
That sh*t hurt my feelings! 😵😞
@@DragonHeart613 Yeah, it's gonna take Miyagi-Do's presence and the fact that Cobra Kai's top students and Miyagi-Do original two students are friends in order to find some kind of X-factor that ends the conflict. Also, Johnny will have to figure out Kreese is the still the problem and force him out of the picture once & for all.
This showing you how Lawrence is trying to change not just for his son but for himself
Sam and Robby talk
Sam: why are you being so horrible to your dad?
Robby: he hasn’t been there my whole life, he-
Sam: everybody’s got a sob story, it doesn’t give you the right to be a bully

"Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak." ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Agreed. I knew Kreese was lyin right off the bat and i was hopin Johnny wouldn't fall his bullshit but he fell right into the snakes scheme.
Cobra isn't just a name for Kreese. Never trust a snake.
Ohh, hell yeah. He wouldn't be a cobra if he DIDN'T do that.
Classic book, Sun Tzu's The Art of War as well as Musashi Miyamoto's The Book of 5 Rings are the preeminent guides to mental warfare!!! People to this day still use those books as guides to succeed in life & conquer their opposition!!!
Anyone notice Kreese's smile when Johnny stopped him from leaving?
It’s just like how I imagined he would return. Johnny in the dojo and Kreese shows up late in the shadows with his distinct voice calling out to Johnny and then he eventually walks forward out of the shadows.

If you can read the newspaper at 20:00, this is actually the first time in the series that it finally gives recognition to Johnny for being a two-time All Valley champion, rather than asserting that Daniel was the first to win twice like in KK3.

There's no good guy or bad guy here, just two different groups who have their own issues and need to be shown a better way
