- Splashdown never looked so cool as it does now.
What are your guy's initial thoughts on this new season? For me, I'd say that the season is rather good and it feels like they're spoiling us a bit with two new specials and maps. The two new maps actually feel good to play due to their size and available flank routes. Robo ROM-en feels a bit like a TF2 map to me with its overlapping paths, and Bluefin Depot both have usable and defendable flanks. The two new specials are pretty cool too, the splatter screen's gimmick is really interesting, it's practically a moving smoke screen with a touch-based flashbang that gives color blindness and audio bloat. Splashdown is just straight-up cool, although, if you want to live when you're against it, your only option is to just run away or get cover if you're lucky. Anyways, I'm really liking the Enperry Splat Dualies, I might add them as one of my go-to's.
Also for Big Run, I passed the gold threshold on the third match. I'm am glad that it's only 135 eggs, but I kinda wish it was higher to so it can be a challenge (regardless, the lower gold threshold is better for the wider playerbase). Good luck to all of you guys!

i'm really liking this new season! new maps are pretty fun, weapons add more chaos (which i personally like), and this big run was pretty spicy too! I would've gotten my first gold but i got silver which is still a goal i finally reached! Glad you and your friend also pointed out stuff can literally fall into someone's food on the robo map
Glad to hear that you're enjoying the season and hopefully Nintendo fixes that bug so you can get your deserved gold (the bug also happened to my friend too lol). Hopefully, they continue this trend of chaos, it's not like there was a whole splatfest that determined the direction of the next game.

Thank you! I'm with you with enjoying the new season and the dualies. For splashdown, my only option is to run away or perish, usually the latter.
I wanna play enperry dualies more but EVERYONE seems to be playing them. No lie, I once played a game where 3 of us were enperrys and the other a splatana.
I don't blame them, if they want to play with splashdown, the enperrys seem like the best bet due to its paint output.

new music, new (good) maps, new specials, fun kits, frosty fest confirmed, new king salmonid, this season is very good. maybe that means side order development is in the final stretch (copium)
it was a bit easy to get gold, but I'm seeing casual players express happiness, so I don't mind big run being more of a community event like splatfests. the stress of trying to optimize high scores always dragged it down a little for me, even though I never tried for top 5%. competitive salmon run is more of an eggstra work thing anyway.

I only play open since I can play with friends that way and not play turfwar.
Yeah this season is pretty stacked if you lay it all out like that and I'mma need some of that copium if you don't mind.
It's pretty nice having a lower gold threshold, I believe its similar to the first Big Run's gold.
I got a lot of clips on the first day and it beats editing older clips since they're fresher in the mind. Glad you liked it!
