I can totally relate to Liza's character. I graduated from college with honors. People-my professors, friends, and classmates-expected me to soar high right after graduation, as is typical for academic achievers. But life hit me hard right after. The classmates I had in college who didn't receive any awards or were considered "average" were the ones thriving and succeeding. While I was happy for them, I couldn't help but reflect on myself. I couldn't help but wonder what happened to me. I became lost in translation. I succumbed to pressure. Pinangunahan ako ng takot. Nagkamali ako. Now these lyrics from Spoliarium, “ At ngayon, ‘di pa rin alam kung bat tayo nandito. Pwede bang itigil mo na ang pag-ikot ng mundo,” hits different now. I don't know why I ended up like this. I wish for a pause. Or a rewind. But it's too late now. This is who I am now. I am a different person already. I just need to face my reality and, hopefully, through that acknowledgment, I can give myself a second chance
Same here, my Dad got bed ridden and got a hard time continuing my studies in the college of law, I tried my very best to work very hard but I need to send my younger siblings to university as well. Buti nalang pinakopya ko kaklase ko, at least sya ngayon lawyer na. Samantalang ako, still surviving from poverty and the worst thing is I lost my Dad without making his dream come true of me becoming a lawyer, sayang naman ang awards ko. But still proud of myself na napagtapos ko ang 2 kapatid ko ng seaman. I gave up may own dreams and love life for them to have a better life, nang nagbarko sila at nagkakacovid, sabi ko SOS hindi man lang ako pina utang ni piso ahaha. But that's life, I just move on with my life. Now still fighting, nag dh nalang ako sa abroad, and looking back in all of my awards napatawa nalang ako. Being an academic achiever is not a hundred percent guarantee to have a better life, money is all that matter.
It's never too late. Maybe, it's not yet your time. But someday... Oneday... you will shine... In God's perfect time... God has a better plan than ours... Trust the process... ❤ Hug 🫂

God has directed my life since then till now. Hindi naman milyonaryo but I am on the kind of life I wanted to. Sometimes, the missing puzzle is found on His hands if not most of the time. Your best years are coming and I pray that you are on it now. God bless you🙏

She double-majored in history and commerce while I was on the fence between choosing engineering, architecture, or agriculture. Took me a lot longer to realize that there's plenty of opportunities in the real world, but only a select few will ever be capable of attain them. Will it ever benefit them in the long run? I guess time will tell.
It's almost 12 a.m. but I'm here with swollen eyes from crying while watching this masterpiece. I really like this movie, the lesson in it, and the plot! Good job Lizquen ^^

First watched this movie in S’pore and been watching it over and over in Netflix since then. It’s beautiful and very relatable in some way. Liza and Quen were phenomenal actors and they nailed it.
I really love this movie. It really inspired me a lot. This story told me how to make your own aim in life and it's never too late to chase for it and succeed. The only thing I don't like in this movie is that the girl broke up with her bf during their hardship time instead of facing each other. One more thing which i don't like is,,,, after all the struggle/efforts which they both went through,,,,at the end it comes out that the boy makes her new gf pregnant which is the reason for a bad ending for me.
If my girlfriend and I were still stable, no doubt we would've been watching this movie together. Since the idealized type of guy, I do resonate well with Christine Lazaro in this context. Never let people stop you. Sure, you're always accused of being unrealistic with your plans, but it's never wrong to essentially turn your own dreams into a reality.
