I found you through homeschooling stuff- i think a sit down video of you and izzy talking about it (maybe even a series??) would do really well and would help people find you. I hope it grows as it is now one of my favorite channels :))
Thanks for the suggestion. I have done a few sitty-downy home-ed specific vids. They're in my 'home-ed help' playlist. They didn't involve Izzy, though.
I like the normality and ordinariness- for want of a better word, meant as a compliment- of your daily vlogs. I find them quite reassuring in what are still strange times. 17 degrees here still. Is anyone jealous? Thought not.
Thanks - that's really reassuring. Actually I find the same thing when I watch other daily vloggers so i don't know why I'm so worried about it! But thank you for the feedback. I'm enjoying a nice roasty 28c in my bedroom this evening :¬) I'm happy with it, although I did sleep with a wet towel on my legs last night...
The white leg bit made me laugh. 😂 Cool to see you all have slush puppies there too!! We’re expecting a heat wave here this weekend. It’ll be 109•F Saturday. 🥵
It literally sent the camera into some sort of spasm! Poor thing. It was clearly in shock. Good luck with your heatwave and hooray for your luscious swimming pool!!!
Hi Imo and Izzy !! Nice Video...I have lights in my studio that you talk to.. Wi Fi Led's ..You can tell each light what color and, how dim or bright.. They are way more fun than just dimmer lights.. or you can use an app on your cell phone anywhere you are in the world.. Kind of Fun.. If you tap your slushy on the counter.. The liquid and ice will compact down and you can fill up more liquid.. I guess it gets rid of the air pockets.. Have a great day.. Stay Happy and Healthy..
Hello to you from southern Louisiana where it's always hot weather from May through November! I was in your lovely country in 2005 on a visit to N. Wales, to climb Snowdon with my now ex from Germany. My last name's Jones, so I have a natural love for Cymru. Stay safe & keep vlogging. I enjoy sharing your experiences!
Ooh, I'm envious of your climate! I'm cold and wet for so much of the year, here, though I must admit, when I briefly lived somewhere much hotter and drier (Portugal) I found I very much missed seeing so much greenery - I find that healing. I know lots of people with your surname - I wonder if you are distantly related to any of our friends? 😂 You never know! It's a small world, as they say. Thanks so much for watching and leaving the lovely comment.
@@PlanetImo Thanks for your generous reply. It's very humid & green here in Acadiana (Cajun Louisiana). My aunt has traced our Jones surname back to Wales, but I don't know if she looked for our living relatives. I'm sure they're out there! I'm Christopher Jones. There are many bearing my name. :)
Revenge of the tripod!😂😂😀Still looked hot there yesterday, it was somewhat cooler here and again today, more manageable whilst working from home! EDITED - oh hang on, that was the day before yesterday, wasn't it? Yep still hot then, sorry!
Hmm, thanks for the suggestion. A couple of people have asked for more cooking. I improvise all my recipes as I go along and can't imagine anyone would want to make my concoctions themselves, but you never know!
I've seen Slush puppies here in the states but in all my million years I have never tasted one. What's your favorite flavor and I might have a go at it.
I heard maxing out ads in the videos is good for the algorithm since it also helps UA-cam gain revenue. Have you considered doing that? I’m pretty sure I only got one add in the end.
I wouldn’t be surprised but I still don’t want to do it. You know how it is - spend hours lovingly crafting your video/viewing/listening experience and then have it littered all over with jarring disruption. I have changed my default settings now so there’ll only be ads at start and end at most.
Imo and Izzy Vlogs I hear you but sometimes you gotta play the game. Perhaps on the videos that you’ve engineered for more views like the informational ones... you could always increase the ads after a couple days too, so your loyal subscribers are spared. Either way, I think your doing awesome with your channel! Keep up the great work!!
@@FridaandLuna Thanks, Flife. I actually did go back and manually insert a few adds on my longer, older videos that still get views through search, but when this new mid-roll default thing happened I managed to lose them all. It took me many mornings to insert them all in manually, too, so that was frustrating. I'll go and put them back in again at some point.
I remember I got my first really cool sunglasses when I was 14 - it was one of those ray ban aviator type sunglasses that was really popular at the time and I remember thinking, man I look cool!
I know you don't have AC, but does it cool down enough at night so that you can sleep comfortably? 29 degrees C is a normal summer temperature for us. Cental Air conditioning is a necessity.
It's been about 28c in my bedroom at night for most of this week. I've been slightly hot and I did take a wet towel in with me one night! I've managed OK, though.
I usually just use three cameras for vlogging: my Osmo pocket, my gopro session and my iphone.I try to use just one camera per session so I don't get confused when I edit later...
It does get confusing, doesn't it? But less so if I edit it the same day that I filmed, so the order is fresh in my memory. Or at least sort the project folder out the same day and sort it by date/time.
Yeah - it’s just in the advanced tab of the individual video details. There’s a box that’s checked by default that says to post the video on the subscription feed. You just have to uncheck it. It does mean your subs don’t get to know you’ve uploaded, mind. I’d like to make some evergreen content sometimes, but don’t want to drive my current subscribers away with it...
Don't worry my 15 year old is just the same and looks so much like Izzy I can understand and my daughter doesn't like going out so much now due to what's going on at that moment she says every where is too peoplei
Yeah - exactly that. And Izzy says home is normal, but outside is all different due to the social distancing, so it's easier to block out the reality of the pandemic at home.
Wow! That's a bit on the hot side. I think 38c is the highest I've ever experienced and I just about managed to practice my flute in that. It's 28c in my house right now.
Hi there I came across your videos few days ago .as I was looking for some kind of knowledge about home schooling .im not the brightest person but know enough of this and that ,is there anything I can look up that could help me make the choice of home school,, I have 2 boys 9and 10 been in school all there life’s
Hello! Thanks so much for watching. This is a pretty good website to look at: www.educationotherwise.org/ It's where I very very started. There are also LOADS of groups on Facebook for home-educators and they usually welcome people who are there to find out a bit more about it - if you ask a question on them you usually find lots of enthusiastic people respond quite quickly. I would search for groups close to your area for making local home-ed friends. It's a funny time, with this pandemic, but pre-covid we tend to spend much of the week with other home-educating families. There are such things as home-ed groups (social groups for the children AND parents) that tend to meet weekly. I know there used to be a page on the Education Otherwise website listing groups, so ti's worth a look, but you might also be able to find them via the regional home-ed Facebook groups, too. When I was trying to decide whether or not to home ed, I went to one of the groups in my area to chat to the parents there and just see how the children were. It seems silly now, but I'd heard all sorts of rumours about them not being able to socialise. It was all nonsense of course, and I was very impressed with the children of all ages up to around 16 years. I took my daughter with me and whilst shy initially, she said she loved it on the way back home! There's a more home-ed specific channels you could watch... I just vlog my life and now my daughter is on the verge of starting college... I'll just find you a couple of links...
This one is done by a lady called Victoria - it's MOSTLY home-ed specific, although she does vary her content slightly, but she's got some good chatty vlogs regarding home educating resources, experiences etc. ua-cam.com/channels/AYjczlyuqrD-1YgE9t4quA.html
hasn't your dad got and old camera tripod he doest us any more, they do fold up. Have you thought about creating a none vlog channel Boots are made for walking
I've got a big one myself, but I've got used to the little bendy one now - as it was a real game-changer. My dad doesn't have one. I have thought about doing a flute channel. I don't have the passion for it like the vlogging, though. It doesn't excite me, but I'm sure it would do a lot better and be way more lucrative.
Something strange is going on... I'm not getting notifications for several YT channels, yours and Pippa included. Not sure why. If it continues, I will unsub you and resub, to hopefully get back to normal programming. You remind me so much of my dad, in the way he had several cameras, tripods, lights, bags etc. He was a professional photographer for many years, including nature, portraits and civil evidence photography. Myself, I'm lucky if I even take a pic.. hahahaha. Lizzy looks so pretty today. I tried one of those slushy drinks year ago and almost froze my brain out of my head. I ended up with horrible kidney pains and a massive headache. SInce then I have never had another. The memory still lives on.. and on.. and on... haha I don't even have ice in my drinks, and prefer my pop to be room temperature. White legs !!. If I didn't hear your voice, I would have sworn my daughter in law was sitting there. She has pasty white legs too.. haha It's 1 pm and 25c, going up to 30c by 4 pm.. aggghhh.... I don't like this... and then tomorrow the forecast is for 36c !!!!. 👀😮🌞 It's our youngest g'daughters 4th birthday tomorrow, so the grandparents and uncles and aunties are getting together for her birthday party later today. My daughter in laws parents have a home on a bit of property out in the country, so we'll all be able to keep our safe distances. It's just so weird to think we have to do that though. Enjoy your evening.. 💟

I drink tea through heatwaves too!

Ohhh that's hot for you guys!! Izzy did look red cheeked!
She was convinced it was sunburn, but she was just flushed from the heat.
Haha, I use a sock too. Humidity makes heat feel worse. 😂
Yey! Socks are very versatile!
Yay for the shop selling ice drinks. Lee and I hung out by the aircon the other day getting the fruit shop!
Rock and roll, baby!
The weather has been playing games with everyone this year. Great outing with Izzy to the shop’s
Yeah, it's been really up and down.
Turn your bread roll upside down less scratchy
What a very good idea! Thank you, Linda!

Oh yes! We saw some colour changing bulbs! Thanks for the slushie tip!
Lee uses socks for his gadgets too 🤣🤣
Yey! Go Lee. Someone else in the comments said they did, too. Elf Lord.
Energy efficient bulbs dont tend to work well in summers. They flicker a lot.
Oh really? It turned out we did buy an energy efficient one. I didn't realise til we got home.

It’s funny. I used to spend on camera gear etc. these days I still have all that but just use my phone.
A lot of the more modern phone cameras are better than my camera! I still use an iPhone6, though.
Imo and Izzy Vlogs I had the six until a month ago. Got the SE. That should do me for a few more years.
Was almost killed by lightning taking photos. It was close enough it felt like ants crawling on us. The electricity in the air shut down the camera.

I agree you do need some review videos and videos that last years. Vlogs dont really do that x
Yep. We need to find ones that are related to the vlogs, ideally.
