I think it's pretty understandable that Charlie Puth would have some difficulty or some awkwardness in this situation. Going over to Korea and experiencing how their award shows are is a culture shock to Puth. With American award shows, fans are usually not right in front if the idols with their cameras tracking the idols' every moment. I guess you could say that in American award shows it's less pressure on the artists. And especially since of the language barrier, Charlie can really only communicate with RM (since RM knows English and is used to this stuff). While RM and Charlie are talking, RM is probably translating the announcements and what's going on (and probably have a few casual convos too). Other than BTS, Charlie isn't too close with anyone else there. He only came with his manager, to note as well.
All of these comments on other videos from the mga cams of the hugs are really misleading. I read so many times that BTS 'hates' Charlie Puth but then I watch this and they were genuinely happy for him.

I think it's pretty understandable that Charlie Puth would have some difficulty or some awkwardness in this situation. Going over to Korea and experiencing how their award shows are is a culture shock to Puth.
With American award shows, fans are usually not right in front if the idols with their cameras tracking the idols' every moment. I guess you could say that in American award shows it's less pressure on the artists. And especially since of the language barrier, Charlie can really only communicate with RM (since RM knows English and is used to this stuff). While RM and Charlie are talking, RM is probably translating the announcements and what's going on (and probably have a few casual convos too). Other than BTS, Charlie isn't too close with anyone else there. He only came with his manager, to note as well.

Its crazy to see the difference in culture.
Scandals are so blown out of proportion there compared to the US. You can see the difference in how RM covers his mouth to talk so no one can see what he's saying where Charlie talks freely.
