- The video I made while cycling through the woods with my GoPro video camera turned on, I filmed how a huge bear tried to attack me, but fear made me pedal much faster than usual! Luckily, I was able to get away from the Grizzly for a while and the hunters helped me to scare the bear away with their shots.

@911attackk does seem like a far fetched idea, but there is a story I've seen here on UA-cam about a hunt guide that found a bear for a couple clients (wealthy obviously) to "hunt," so they do and shoot the bear with what appears to be a fatal shot. As it was late in the evening they return the next morning to pick up the blood trail because the bear was estimated to only be able to make it a few hundred yards or so. Anyway, I don't remember the exact distance but the bear made it farther than expected, and also had doubled back over his own trail and kind of covered himself somewhat with leaves or whatever (as much as a bear can obviously) but either way if this was a real true story to think a bear has that much intelligence is astonishing! Also had they tracked that bear at dusk that could have went VERY BADLY for the "hunters." 😳😳

Actually, pretty good. The camera blur matches and there's good roto to put it behind the tree. The lack of shadow isn't even that troublesome, given that it's an overcast day. The biggest problem is a compositing issue: the shadows of the bear are darker and more saturated than the plate. It just needs a bit of color adjustment.
For sure! The bear is too saturated and his colors are warmer. Also, removing the contrast a bit would help a lot, because the blacks of the bear are way darker than the ones in the rest of the video.
Fun fact: That branch in the middle of the road was setup by that bear.

That was a rare escape, God saved him, the man must’ve been terrified, not knowing if the road would be open, finding a tree blocking the path, having to hide in a fairly open area, with a hungry grizzly and its incredible nose in hot pursuit. I don’t know if this is a joke but you couldn’t out cycle bear either. Grizzly bears can run 35-38 MPH or 56 Kmh. But if the bear is far is far enough you can out pace it for sure because their stamina isn’t that great.

Also real bear will only attack humans if they have tasted human blood, they are used to humans, or if the human is too close to it's babies or den. Finally a bear can easily run at 30 mph, unless this guy is super fast or the bear was going easier than even a normal jog the bear would have gotten much closer.

You know, every time they want to tag and do measurements on bears, or they need to relocate them when they come into towns or the suburbs, they use tranquilizer darts to knock them out.
So I thought, "What if the bears got to like being tranquilized? What if they eventually enjoyed the woozy, stoned feelings the drugs gave them? Then they'd start to look forward to being tranquilized."

As someone who has lived, hiked and camped in bear country my whole life, I can tell you that the first thing you should never do is flee. Bears are predators, and predators are hard wired to chase anything fleeing from them. If you watch a cat with a mouse, if the mouse sits still the cat will leave it alone. The moment the mouse tries to flee, the cat pounces on it. It's hard wired. Common sense should tell you not to jog, run or ride a bike in areas frequented by large predators such as bears or mountain lions. But if you insist, at least carry bear spray and know how to use it. If chased, stop! With grizzly or brown bears, keep watch on them through the corner of your eye and attempt to walk away slowly. Do not look them in the eye, it will be taken as a challenge. With a black bear or cougar, stare directly at them, make yourself look as large as possible (like rising your bike over your head) and yell at them. Use the bear spray as a last resort.
By the time he saw the bear I reckon it was already too late. He was already moving on the bike when the bear was running at him.

If not prepared they make mistakes and in the moment choose the option of fleeing instead of contradictorily standing ground before a couple hundred killos of bones and flesh, which has the capacity to munch you in a couple seconds.
