You are amazing - what a brilliant tutorial. I’ve tried loose painting before, and it was a disaster so never tried again. But now you’ve given us this, I’m going to give it another go, following your tutorial closely. Thank you! You are very generous.
Great tutorial. I see a lot of Christmas tree tutorials at this time of year. I loved this one. I’m giving it a try. I don’t think it even needed the line work ❤
Love your tree 🎄 I'm impressed with the length of time it stayed wet. I've noticed how quickly hot press Meeden dries. I do like hot press for the precision of edges. I'm working on a Christmas Holly and had to push on to get the correct values.
@rachelparkervarner I'll finish the pine branches and get to the free patreon. Showed it to my mom half finished and she said "that's nice honey." 😅 Now no one sees half finished art.
You do not suck..😊 .. I know what you mean about under painting. I lhand wash the perfume out of packaged hand wipes , for scrubbing and blotting., as the fibres are solidly woven.
I made it to the end, and subscribed! Thanks. Jo in France 🇫🇷
I love to hear that, many don't and the end is so important. Greetings to you in beautiful France, where I would love to explore some day!
This is sooooo pretty! Thank you for a wonderful tutorial
My pleasure Felicity!
Thank you for all you do. Your tips are a game-changer for my watercolor journey 😊
I'm happy to hear that! Keep going!

A key element is the Stonehenge paper remember, and nonstaining paints!!
Gorgeous tree Rachel!! I always take away many wonderful tips from you! Your cats (and dogs) are my favorites ❤
@@margretmartin7572 t thank you so much! Be sure to not miss my other new video, people are really liking it called "Stop, Don't Abandon Watercolor...
@ will definitely check it out! Due to a family loss I’ve been in NC with my daughter. Heading home Saturday. 💗
@@margretmartin7572 I'm so sorry to hear that. Safe travels and hugs.

Thank you so much Connie and I'd love to see your Holly if you're on Facebook or my free Patreon!
@rachelparkervarner I'm not on Facebook. UA-cam fills up my screen time

@connied8507 a lot of the times when I made a sale back in the day, my artist mom would say "people will buy anything" 😭🤣😭🤣

That is a very cool hack Wendy!
@rachelparkervarner thank you Rachel. I like your paintings.
I'm not like most people. I'm sticking around, but I already know your work. I'm curious about the reason to go with hot press paper.
This paper lifts really easily with a soft acrylic brush, better than any paper I know, for lifting out small lights
@@rachelparkervarner thank you. I love the tree.
Now I want green apatite 😅 but I will probably just use what i have
@@QueerArtista it's pretty but honestly if you mix cobalt OR ultramarine with yellow you will still get amazing granulations
@rachelparkervarner okay, thanks! I have those. 😊
