I have seen the vacancies of actuaries, where some companies need some computer skills like SQL some other companies need python some of them have also written VBA macro, etc. But it's not possible to learn all different programming language and also for an actuary ms Excel is manily needed, which is already included in the syllabus. What's your suggestion to do in this situation?
Hi, R and Excel are already included in the syllabus, hence these are a must for actuarial freshers. Learning any additional programming like SQL, VBA, Python etc is preferable, but only optional. So, focusing on the must haves should be sufficient according to me.
