"Oklahoma!" was published in 1943 by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II for the broadway musical of the same name, later reprised for the film version. In 1953 the Oklahoma legislature made "Oklahoma!" the state song, replacing the former "Oklahoma - A Toast".
I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. Both Oklahoma! and Oklahoma Hills are official by the state legislature. Oklahoma! was made the state song in 1953, Oklahoma Hills was made the 2nd in 2001.
