I've been using ArchiCAD in my study since 2015 and this 29 minutes had more and better information than the entire 5 years. It's terrifying. I've seen other students quit school, run out of classroom crying and give up and fail the ArchiCAD classes because the teacher we had made it look like the hardest software to learn. Everyone hated it. I studied mostly by myself and have done a lot of my own training projects at home with the student license, which is a blessing. I'm very grateful to have had the chance to learn this software but I feel bad for everyone who suffered from the bad teacher and fail to see how much fun ArchiCAD really is. I just got the spring semester license and should get back to the drawing board. Lots of fun new features and tools made easier in version 22. For people wanting to learn there are a ton of great tutorials and introductions like this video. Teachers aren't always right.
I love Archicad ❤️! Not for the reason most people say..." It is easy to learn"..But because it is based on INTELLIGENT and beautiful concept : ATTRIBUTES ! Wich means the reproduction of the real construction process. No other software is built that way !!!
I beg your pardon, but probably you never used Architrion VI by Bagh and its following development ADesign by Pictogramme. Architrion VI/ADesign represented the state of art in CAAD world.
Where was this software all my life? Why we were not introduced to these tools instead of AutoCAD! All in one software! We had to do everything from design to working drawing and 3D modeling in different and separate softwares, which was time consuming!
at 21:25, that concrete slanted slab coming out of the building, is that a morph? or complex profile? and that little section of insulation on the inside of the parapet wall, is that a wall? it's the little details of how to get things to appear right that I struggle with mostly.
Hello, I’m trying to find out how to make the lives of new ArchicCAD users a lot easier ;) If you are beginner can I ask you 2 simple questions? 1) As a beginner in ArchiCAD, what are 2 biggest issues you are dealing with? 2) Regarding learning ArchiCAD (with youtube tutorials or otherwise), what would you wish for more than anything else? Thank you so much in advance.
Ive just graduated from Architecture. I want to learn a BIM software. I already seen revit because where im from (Egypt) everyone is using it, while archicad seems like a mystery here. ArchiCad seems like the superior product, it can easily be used by multiple user, it integrates well with other programs like rhino and grasshopper which I use often, plus its great with curved walls and tilted walls. My main concern is, that it looks like only European offices use it. The Middle East and the US use Revit. I feel like these offices would want to hire the one who knows Revit instead. 😔
HanaTNT Hi i am really facing the same issue i fight every week in my company trying to convince them using archicad but they r using revit cuz they r saying its the common BIM software in the middle east so i decided to establish my own using archicad , finally i am happy to c some one having the same issue that i have .
The software is amazing. I wish i make enough money to actually buy it so i can stay ahead of my fucking competition. But that voice is just so commercial and crap sorry not sorry
