All in all the song had a meaning, an emotional connection, a relatable narrative and a silver lining.. In contrast to this lump of Horse semen; there is no discernible narrative at all. It is nothing more but a spontaneous turd that splattered all over a microphone and was in turn transferred into a digital format to share with the people who derive pleasure from feces being injected through the ear and into the brain... One argument can of course be made, that Rebecca Black has absolutely no vocal talent and relies heavily on AutoTune and other third party enhancement software/techniques. There of course must be some equilibrium or scale here.. Rebecca Black paid for a 'plug and play' song and music video, which of course had a modest budget and strict time limit.. She is obviously aware that she has not been genetically gifted with much talent in the area of voice emulation but then on the other hand she didn't have a professional studio or educated sound engineers to enhance her voice, unlike this 'Ruffo'.. In fact it would be interesting to see the percentage of AutoTune applied to each 'artist' to gauge the difference, but by ear, there isn't that much difference.. Ruffo on the other hand sincerely believes that he has musical talent. This is of course not the case. Instead he is a prepackaged 'artists' designed to sell music to people that have no interest in actually listening or interpreting any of the 'songs' that are created (unfortunately the majority). He is somewhat aesthetically pleasing, in which the majority of his success will come from forceful and clever marketing of said 'looks', in which the media will selectively create a prenotion that he is much better looking then he really is.. This is done through a collection of techniques that include (not exhaustive) make up, interviews, faked stories of grandeur etc. The main point of this argument is to contrast an artist, Rebecca Black who did not benefit from the magic net of marketing and was thrust into the world scene as an 'idiot' or 'talentless'... Though it should not be confused, Ruffo is in no way different than Rebecca Black in a psychological manner, they share the same mentality, attitude and lack of talent in terms of actual musical representations, but the MAIN differences stem from artificial and arbitrary concepts which include marketing, time and budget. In Conclusion, Rebecca Black, though by no means something anyone on this planet should listen to, is in this instance of 'song vs song' victorious. Her message is clear, relatable and cohesive. Her voice though slightly weaker, was not subjected to the expertise or technology of 'Ruffo' and of course must be brought into scale. Rebecca Black is hindered by transparency, and in turn it shows the world who she really is in a musical sense, without the wool or the veil. Ruffo like any mainstream artist enjoys a masked persona that hides his truly awful musical nature. Creating the greatest lie of them all...fooling the sheep keeping them; docile, only barely lucid and attentive... All while foaming at the mouth, dazed, confused and most importantly with cash in their hands. tl/dr; Rebecca black is not afforded the liberty of marketing and therefore she is hated, Ruffo IS afforded that liberty and therefore seen as attractive and talented.
