I’m so glad Cheryl Waters hosted again. It’s so nice to have a host who appreciates Lucius as much (if not more) than I do! I’m living vicariously through her for the whole video
I saw these ladies perform along with Courtney Barnett back in 2020 right before the rona closed down all the concert halls. Cheryl's reaction at 8:50 was the exact reaction I had- their voices cut deep live.
this interviewer seems to get their darkness and joy- it’s cool. AND i’m in awe and grateful for the band’s baring of soul. beautiful. listenin , to y’all in this , Lucius. ❤
I was here 8 years ago and now Lucius came back to KEXP! My 3 favorites Live on KEXP: Lucius, Haelos and Yann Tiersen! Neither pandemic or apocalypsis will stop this team!
Everything here sums up a KEXP performance, raw talent, fresh music, full of emotion, great sound and the wonderful Cheryl. This performance is just perfect, captured such a vibe! Lucius and KEXP - Amazing!
We saw them live for the first time at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and it was a balm for the soul. Celisse opened (and blew the roof off) and the whole show was just a celebration of joy and gratitude... and lots of dancing. Can't wait to do it again.
Always amazing vocals, and I also want to point out how the good the whole band is. Well before the passing of Christine McVie, I’d started noticing 70s-infused albums that include songs that sound to me like homages to her work. Promises is one of those.
These lives are more emotional and more played than the record of album...The record is a optimal recording... but to live, You are awesome...then in Italy?
Love every performance. They are amazing, always. 🎤❤🎤❤
My god, every time I hear Lucius, I am surprised by how freaking awesome they are.
🔥 What a treat to have an artist sound as good or better live than on the album. Blown away by their talent.
Add Jenny Lewis, Haerts and Chvrches to that list :)
Agreed. But it happens frequently on KEXP ;)
@@final_mile_music9713 Exactly, that's where the magic is at :) They have the sound sound to a T, the sound engineer and tech team are legends!
Without a doubt my favorite band to see live. I've seen them 18 times. They are brilliant musicians. And seemingly really sweet people.
This new album is a masterpiece
They're amazing live. They absolutely crushed it on their new album too.
Cheers to Lucius for creating some hedges against the night for these times.

These are the best versions of 24 and The Man I Will Never find. Right now, 24 is my fave of all of Lucius's releases.
Makes me happy and sad at the same time
Which is the best kind of music
0:25 - 24
4:32 - The Man I'll Never Find
9:06 - Promises
13:20 - Next To Normal
16:37 - Interview
Great performance. Sweet that it makes Cheryl cry
KEXP never disappoints. Ty for bringing in such amazing talent.

I had no idea Lucius was back with an album!
Just amazing!
And really tender, receptive interviewer, bringing the best out of the best. X
This album was an instant classic when I first heard it. Absolutely one of the best albums of the year (alongside Maggie Roger’s Surrender)
The more I hear to the whole album, the more I love it…one of the best ones in 2022
They become my favorite. This whole performance is amazing and loved the interview too.

My birthday was 7/1... so I will consider this the greatest birthday present ever from KEXP!!
Incredible album! I love seeing them at the Gorge and in Mexico with Brandi Carlile! See you in January 2023 in Mexico.

Good gawd...I love this. "Next to Normal" is killer.
Note to self: Gotta get me a pair 'o white-framed cheap sunglasses.
The timbre divine. 😜
If you like this, check out the First Aid Kit session too. Equally good harmonies.
Looking forward to seeing them open for Dawes in Evanston this summer!
These lives are more emotional and more played than the record of album...The record is a optimal recording... but to live, You are awesome...then in Italy?
🤩😍
🤯
it's like this microphone was exclusively made for them
It was haha
I was just gonna say, pretty sure it was lol
Uai! Primeira vez que elas estão de roupas diferentes
Not for me but I respect their talent.
I agree
They sound better live!
omgggggg
Such a treat, makes up a tiny bit for the cancellation of the Amsterdam concert...
Hilarious 🤩
Wait, they are divorced but still work together? How is that possible?
Did Roger Waters fire them?
I think he only uses the when he's touring. They're brilliant with his band too.
Thanks Roger Waters.... 🙄😁
Their vocals are way off.
KEXP please go to your listeners for advice on who to have on here. Do something to improve.
