INCREDIBLE AQUATIC PLANT FARM in Singapore - FULL TOUR!

- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- Hey guys, today I revisited Capricorn Aquarium to check out some of their aquatic plants! This place looks like a fish farm but it is actually only specialising in aquatic plants. Today, it seemed like they were on low stock for plants but I did try to take my time to show you guys as much as possible. I really love the simple yet beautiful planted aquariums at Capricorn too. They use both Co2 and chillers. Also, I love the part where the boss shows how he ties the java fern onto the lava rock. They've got a massive driftwood selection and a huge variety of aquatic plants such as anubias, rotala, java fern, mosses, repens, stargrass, ludwigia, cryptocoryne, bolbitis and so on.

cheers, love the farm :D
Thanks Ryo for getting up close with the boss at work 6:41 , its very COOL when he use the small axe to break the rock into half 😍 , thanks Ryo , please never stop making videos for us 😊
Everyone of yours videos makes me miss Singapore more! It’s so nice to hear the Koel calling in the background. I love to wake up to their calls.
Cheers,
Chris
Oh you used to stay here in singapore? Where are you now? Yes those koels are awesome! There’s a few of them that always hang by a tree beside my room
We spent a week bird watching and fish watching in Singapore this fall. We had an awesome time! What a great place! We live in New York, about 20 miles from the city. It's finally starting to warm up here after a very cold winter.
That’s so cool! I’ve got family members in New York too. Are you in Long Island?
We have a house in Southold Long Island, way out on the north fork and a house in Rye, which is north of the city.
You are the most adorable guy I have seen today in UA-cam. Aside from the look that you have and your love for fish and aquatic plants, your voice is so nice.
Hmmm what about Nick @keepingfishsimple 🤔 😜
Thanks Ryo, cool video. I would love for you to do another one of this farm one day but a bring a camera that could go underwater and really show what's happening below the surface.
Wow! Capricorn Aquarium. This was my go-to shop for aquatic plants when I was living in Singapore. Very nice selection and healthy plants too. Last time I was here was 7 years ago!
Wow nice set up and tha anubias.. Pretty.. Watching here in Philippines 🇵🇭
Beautiful. Always feel comfortable when watching video about aquatic farms like this.

1:25 are you kidding me?!? That crypt in the middle is UNREAL WOW
What an amazing place I've never seen anything like it I love aquatic plants
Thank you for watching and commenting
Very cool video. Thanks for uploading. Some tanks had no water because the plants grow faster in the air than under water.
Loving the content Ryo!! I love these tours.
Thank you for your comment Danny!
Just went there few days ago! Nice video you have!
Nice to see how people keep plants half way across the world.
9:19 they also do that so the plants have unlimited access to co2 and grow alot faster
Great video Ryo. Love getting to see the boss attach the plants to the lava rock.
Thank you for your comment! Yeah, I thought that was awesome and that he uses the weight to keep the string down was cool
Awesome plant farm! Thanks for sharing Ryo 🤗 🤩
Thanks for the continuous support. I love visiting this plant farm :)
@@RyoWatanabee No worries and I can imagine😉
I like your vibe bro, ure chill
Great tour! Thank you for sharing with us, 10:39 looks like Christmas moss.
Thank you! That’s a lot of Christmas moss!
@@RyoWatanabee How much does it cost?
Nice videos! Keep it up! Old timer here, happy to see Capricorn still in operation. I do miss Teo's aquatics which used to be on the other side of the island. These were the only 2 plant farms open to the public.
Oh cool, I’ve never heard of Teo’s Aquatics. I think the idea of growing plants in ponds and in tanks is really cool
I wish we have this kinda farm in our country...
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate it :) hope you enjoyed this plant farm tour
Hey Ryo, greetings from Germany ^^ I love youre Videos - THANKS 4 for all the time & aquarium ideas.
Please never stop your journey through the many plants and fish on earth
Wow great video thank you
Great stuff
That’s a nice place place and they let you video that’s cool. When you have a lot of plant they will make the water really clear. My wife has a lot of plants in glass containers and the water gets really clear. I’m in New York. Thanks
Thank you :) yes, plants really filter the water well! Best natural filtration out there. I love New York too, have lots of family members there
Such a cool looking place Ryo, I could spend ages in there looking at all those awesome aquatic plants 🌱. Cheers for the tour.🤘
Yeah haha. I’ve spent many hours here already checking out their awesome aquatic plants selection
すごい
I enjoyed watching you video especially about fish
I m from indonesia
Love this content. Almost like I'm there.. the good thing of me not being there as oppose to watching is I can't spend any money because I will literally leave with unnessary things lol
The drained ponds are for cultures. So they don't have to provide CO2. Since the plants receive it readily from the air.
I love Your video so much! Great and awesome! Hello from Qazaqstan.
Thank you so much for supporting :)
You are my fav love you videos
Great Show I can't miss any of it but seems these days I should skip some of it but don't worry I will try as much as I can to watch it again :)

3:29 it's an echinodorus
So clear and beautiful ♥️♥️
Nice video
Most aquarium plants are amphibious. That is they can grow under water and out of water in high humidity. Which is how some plant farms grow the plants. It is easier to grow and they can ship better in emersed form. Also must aquarium plants that produce a true bloom, not a spathe, will reach the water surface and exit the water to produce the bloom and spread their genetics. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the awesome and informative comment! I didn’t know that and it’s really interesting :)

Dude i just love aquatic plants, i wish my city have the place just like this, nice video bro👍
Thank you for your comment! Which city are you from?
Im from the philippines, sorry for late reply,
Great to see. That business is so easy in Southeast Asia, due to the climate. Here in Germany, you need heaters, light etc, what makes it less fun and expensive.
Lights?? Is it not possible to do it outdoors or is it because of the weather conditions? Is it dark in Germany? Thanks for your comment though
@@RyoWatanabee the light is maybe enough in summer, but most of the year too dark.
Awww but u guys can keep shrimps easier, we need chillers that cost approx usd230. A heater is at most what..usd10?
I didn't mean for one aquarium. I meant as a business. What are chillers?
@@AquaOne1 like to cool the tanks. Like u use a heater to get it warmer, we use chillers to get it cooler, chillers are more expensive than heaters
Love your videos so much. Hope to have goldfish. Yeah im from Philippines
great place.. love it
Great video!
Thank you. Happy that you enjoyed this plant farm tour
Like a micro version of Tropica. Very nice.
Yup. I’m not too sure what tropica looks like but I’m guessing it must have some awesome aquatic plants
Awesome plant farm! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your nice comment!
My dream, thanks you
Awesome how they inject co2 into this big size ponds
looks like red flame sword. i got 3 of them a couple years ago and only one has managed to live longterm.
The floating plants at 4:28 are a species of water caltrop (Trapa sp.)
Hi Ryo. :) I like your video. I'll be waiting for more.
Thank you so much :)
Good.... ⚘🖒
Thank you :)
Nice tour tks for sharing
Thank you for watching JN Aquarium
wow🤩
That black thing covering the ponds is called green house net, it comes in different shades I thought the lady said it 70% shade.
And the 'Dragon Fly isn't a dragon fly really. it is a damsel fly.
Yup, thanks for the clarification. 70% shade so that the ponds don’t get too hot and so that algae doesn’t grow
I like😍😍
Just an awesome video
Thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed this plant farm tour
so informative thank you for this video
irshu bangash from pakistan
Thank you for watching :)
One of my dreams is going to China japan Vietnam and Tokyo
Amazing
The moss looked like peacock or Christmas moss to me. I have both.
at 10:40
Good video
Red melon sword plants the one you asked about
Awesome! I wish we had something like that in my city. Alas, the cold weather does not permit it. What do they use for fertilizer at a farm of that scale?
Thanks for your comment. I’m not too sure if they use fertilizers for their plants. I’ve got to ask them.
17:32 looks like Hydrocotyle Tripartita, from what I could see.
Thank you! I’ll Google that!
Wow
eco friendly farm !
Yeah, indeed it is. I love visiting this plant farm
it seems like a fish farm and aquarium plant farm could be done in the same facility and be very mutual beneficial
Not really want to spoil this farm reputation, the uncle there is nice and knowledgeable though. But if you bought some of the plants there, especially those outside, remember to wash it thoroughly and soak into bleach dip for awhile. I got some nasty pests some years ago when I bought from this farm. Snails, planaria and I even had a dragonfly nymph in one of my tanks, probably hitch a ride as an egg when I bought the plants. So do take note.
Nice plant I hope you will buy more
Lol, I want to buy more plants too
好美丽🍊👍
Nice from PH here..I subscribed.
Salamat Po. Thank you for subscribing :)
Planning to visit singapore next week. Is this farm still worth it?
