Alex was a great Jeopardy host who knows who’ll replace him R.I.P.
I hope it’s ken
No one will replace him. You can’t replace a legend.
No one can truly replace a legend like Alex I mean you can’t think of jeopardy with out picturing Alex, but I feel if anyone is worthy of that title it should be Ken Jennings.
Betty white he wanted her to replace him when he left
Yes may Alex Trebek rest in peace he gave us laughs and smiles and some of the funniest moments and questions in the world
Had to revisit in memory of Alex. One of the greatest humans to ever live
Same here, 7:30 on Weeknights is gonna be weird.
This would have been a much more enjoyable list if we could have seen the actual clips of what happened rather than the narrator explaining what happened. I actually had to stop watching it cause all the humour was lost.
Agree! Very poorly done and very disjointed.
DioneN probably to avoid copyright but to me doesn’t make sense cuz literally the honorable mention shos the clips
agreed! we need context!!
Or at least have provided which episodes they were from so we could watch them
Exactly
LMAO!! Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are my favorites, but fails is what made the shows more entertaining.
My favorite was "What is a hoe" because that was my answer too.
Eric Taylor same here dude
Yea, I'm pretty sure it was deliberate on Ken's part. He know it was wrong, but he was enough ahead that it didn't matter.
Take a look at his face right after he says, "What is a hoe?" He's grinning even before Alex said, No."
This is my number one also.
It's Ken freaking Jennings. He won so much money that he can do whatever the hell he wants on Jeopardy!!
Except it's stupid because 'ho' is slang for whore, so not even a real word. The stupidity rampant in the world depresses me.
I hope Alex knew how much of a treasure he was to millions of us. I remember coming home from school and turning on Jeopardy and still watching it as an adult. A kind, gentle and bright soul. All of America is going to miss him. 💐💙
I remember watching that Jeopardy episode with my son when that kid said "What is a Donkey?" and like the crowd,we both burst out laughing.
Just a few days ago someone answered "donkey" for a clue about an animal in some Biblical passage. They accepted it, but the answer they wanted was a certain three-letter synonym for donkey...I wonder if that person had been reluctant to say that word. But Alex said, it, very seriously, "We'll accept donkey. But it was..."
I remember rushing home every day after school to watch Jeopardy! I loved everything about the show and Alex as host. It will never be the same without him. Never cried so much for someone I've never met. I still can't believe it
RIP Alex, my condolences goes to his friends and family.
Who’s here after trebek died rip man
Yep had to revisit my childhood
We've lost Alex Trebek today. Saddening.
UA-cam brought me to this video, where you show on a graphic (multiple times) that Jeopardy started in 1964. It's in fact 1984.
WatchMojo is actually correct. The original Jeopardy was aired on NBC in 1964 with Art Fleming hosting. It ran until 1975. ABC restarted Jeopardy in 1984 with Alex Trebek as host.
@@davyt0247 Ah. Well, in that case, WatchMojo should've made it "Jeopardy (1964-1975, 1984-)", which I've seen them do before.
I have heard that Ken Jennings will replace him for the show to go on but you can't replace Alex ever. He was a true persona and I watched him all the time when I was younger with my grandma. RIP Alex. 😭😭❤❤ Also, he's resting up there with Regis; two of my favorite game show hosts are gone but never forgotten. ❤
I bawled when I found out. I love watching Alex. Prayers to his family.
2:32 That moment when you're making fun of Jeopardy fails but you don't even read the original clue correctly
You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take - Wayne Gretzky - Michael Scott
No one can replace him .. rest in peace Alex we love you
My family and I would love to just sit and watch Jeopardy each night. Not every night sometimes, but we loved the challenging questions worded weirdly. Alex has been there forever and I miss him already.
0:13 maybe he lives in a place where bathrooms aren't too popular, so whenever he goes outside all he sees is yellow snow 😂😂😂
8:18 to 8:40
DUDE, JUST SIT THERE AND SHUT UP!
Wheel of fortune fails need to have the south park episode with Randy 😂
That’s a classic.
Hi Mike ADHD
They already made a WoF fails vid.
Mike ADHD yep
Mike ADHD yeah?
Me and my family would sit in the living room and have our own little Jeopardy games while the show was going on. It was awsome.
Just realized after looking at the SNL Jeopardy clip..."mortal enemies" Connery and Trebek died within days of each other! 😯😉
Ok, how many people are here thinking Donkey too? I remember this episode and when the answer was read, I yelled out DONKEY for everyone to hear....lol
The guy who turned a question about tree huggers into "Who is Carl Sagan" is the most puzzling fail ever.
Thanks for the funny moments Alex
Kareem also had another fail...he missed his own line in the movie "Airplane".
WHat is You Beat Me To It
And he once answered himself getting the question wrong
that was the same question
Willy Wonka at the end...epic! LOL "GOOD DAY SIR!"
Revisiting my childhood. Rest well Alex, you more than earned it.
I love these, i remember a few, I used to watch Jeopardy religiously.
We love you Alex. Thank You for the memories and the legacy you left with Your work with Jeopardy R.I.P Alex Trebek 😭
#1 Feels like a scene straight out of a comedy movie! LMAO!!
So awesome. R.I.P Alex Trebek
Alex was intelligent, personable and a great communicator. He made a tv quiz show, that could have been tedious entertaining and fun to watch. He was someone who you looked forward to welcome into your home each night as I watched Jeopardy. He will be missed. God bless him, and God bless his family as they deal with his passing.
The Arthur clip, was awesome.
Glad I had a full second to see what the answer was before I could hear that wrong answer. This kinda wasn’t funny because there wasn’t any context.
Agreed. Like the one with the three place names. Not knowing how the category works, how do you know if it's really that big of a fail?
Seriously. I had to keep pausing the video to read the answer!
2:31 Did anyone else notice that the narrator said that there were "6 movie ratings" on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar question, when the question clearly states that there are "5 movie ratings"?
“In Japan, a Doctor might tell you to stick out your SHITA.”
“What is your behind?”
This show is the BEST!!
6:35 Actually Michael Scott said that quote
Magicman205 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
best till now i found on youtube
Thanks for this vdo
from me i liked your video
and shared this video. Thanks.
Who else is here after Alex Trebek died
R.I.P Alex Trebek your have always made us laugh and gave our brains a fun ride
That Wolf Blitzer one. Holy shit. That's embarrassing.
Doesn't really know as much as he thinks he does. lol.
Fact check: X was a official rating for movies
Well he is only one that made it funny as hell with em
Kareem's answer of the movie rating X is far from a fail IMO. Many aren't aware that X isn't an official movie rating, since it's so commonly used.
I love top 10 fails and top 10 worst lists more than the best top 10 lists, lol.
me too....from time to time
Rest in Piece Alex, your legacy lives on
I saw number 1 live. the best 2nd place finisher from one of the other semifinals took the final spot and won the tournament
That “Chris Farley” answer should have been number one. I was fucking dying
10: What is a donkey
9: What is a threesome
8: Kareem Abdul-Jabber’s X-rated Answer
7: What is pussy furry
6: Wolf Blitzer’s big First round loss
5: What are public toilets
4: What is Toronto
3: Who is magic johnson
2: Terrible trio suffers multiple triple stumpers in 1 game
HM: Mr. Wrong & mr. Right
HM: Who was Chris farley
1: All teen contestant finish with $0
They can't replace Alex Trebek as the host now. Jeopardy just wouldn't be the same.
Cue the Weird Al references
Steven Maiorana lol
Steven Maiorana They missed a perfect opportunity to use his hilarious parody! I'm so disappointed.
Krista Shafer Not the first time WatchMojo has disappointed....
How about when Weird Al was ON Jeopardy (the rock-n-roll version, anyway) ... and yes, he lost.
I sure hope they do better, next weekend on the Price is Right.
I'd like to see Alex as a contestant for the first time in about 1000 years he's been on the air.
Bràd
53636
I Thought Michael Jordan said that 😂😂
wow, Alex is actually a savage with no emotions xD
There was an episode where everyone couldn't answer a damn question at all. The category is VIDEOGAMES.
This is not one of Watchmojo's better edited videos.
You missed "Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen I don't know" and "who is...some guy in Normandy but I just won $75,000"!
RIP mr.J your Entertainment will never be forgotten
Jeopardy may be distributed by CBS, but it is owned and produced by Sony. The latter company even released a DVD containing the most memorable episodes of the current run.
RIP the great Alex Trebek. Truly a legend.
"WHAT IS A DONKEY??!!" AHAHAHAHAHAHA😂😂
So, while "What's a hoe?" isn't considered a fail for Jeopardy!, it IS considered one of the biggest fails in game show history. Oh, WatchMojo...
What about the time Kareem abdul-jabar missed the one about himself.
A truly epic moment in game show history.
I was gonna bring that up, too, but I wanted to see if anyone else mentioned it, first. That was hilarious, especially Trebek's reaction.
There is a behind the scene on the Watson one. Its a good video to watch and you can understand why it choose Toronto.
Hahaha being from the UK, I can only laugh at that final one. They're the types who would go to Leeds and think it were in Lancashire!
Every human being in the world had watched and played jeopardy ,he is part of all of our lives
Bigger fail for Kareem, I think - his line from "Airplane!" - Tell your old man to drag this '70's UCLA and Trail Blazer center (& Lanier!) up & down the court for 48 minutes.
9:15 Why did the leader - who had a $4,400 advantage - bet everything?! Why did ANY of them bet everything? Ugh!
i think the same thing as number 1 happened on the 2nd ever game of jeopardy, which led to the strategy of betting everything but 1 or 2 dollars
I like watching Jeopardy with my grandma
LOL!!! :'D The middle contestant of number 1 (Joe) is actually a friend from my graduating class!
That dude said donkey punch.
Lol.
Shit, I said “what is a hoe too” LOL 😂
You know you've messed up when Alex responds with "oh no...".
Omg the ending was the best part
That triple-zero Teen Tournament game was painful to watch. To be fair, at least all three of those contestants were in the correct region of the world with "Dublin".
R.I.P Alex. You’ll be missed
"Before we show you a clip of the punchline, we're going to tell you what the punchline is, then we're going to give you the background on the punchline, then repeat the punchline again, before finally allowing you to view it for yourself, which is what you wanted to see in the first place." -WatchMojo, probably
How is "the age of consent" answer not on here?!?!?!! That was so cringy and awkward. I'm baffled that it isn't on this list.
"What is Toronto?" should be number 1!!
I’ll take people for $2000
The answer is Alex Trebek
Who was a 100% class act
R. I. P. Mr. Alex Trebek thank you for everything
Ancient Rome did have public toilets. But they didn't wipe with papyrus.
without watching yet I hope “what is the age of consent?” is first
Thatswhaticallavid Quiet assistant!!
With that background music, I've now got this stuck in my head: "Rorschach and Deadpool! A nut and a fool!" Thumbs up if you're a RandomGuy fan!
Thank you Alex. You will be missed.
Rest In Peace 😔
RIP Alex he was the best
I approve of the Arthur and Willy Wonka clips. =D
I used to watch Jeopardy! with my grandfather before he passed away
Wow, the number one pick fits so perfectly with the "YOU LOSE!" scene from Willy Wonka.
What about the Price is Right losing horns.
Can someone explain what's going on with the countries round in the honourable mentions? Did they have to pick the most populated or something?
millerhxc agreed, we need some context
If you look at 8:16 you'll see: theme called "the most populous nation":)
Aha! Thank you! Poor guy.
I’m speechless! I’ve got nothing to say about the number one pick!
The best part of this video was the end. Both literally and figuratively.
I'll now take "Intentionally Wrong Answers" for $400, Alex.
The number 1 choice is going to blow my dad's mind
Jeopardy should have had a tie breaker question ready for that teen tournament
Bahahaha OMG fucking Willy Wonka at the end was so beyond perfect whoever did that deserves all the kisses lol
GOOD DAY SIR!
Why does 2020 have to be so bad?
RIP to Alex, one of my favorite TV personalities, but hopefully he's in a better place, feeling better than ever hosting game shows for angels in Heaven.
Everyone keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers...
There was, of course, one fail that tops all of these. One that even made news. On the last round of an episode of Kids' Jeopardy, the correct answer to the question given was "The Emancipation Proclamation." One kid lost, because his answer, "Emanciptation Proclamation," was deemed incorrect. Just one letter separated him from victory.
