Baited straggler ENCs reunited with worms in 26-day yellow buckets - vermicompost

First the batch of castings with the bait box is examined to see if it has been evacuated... then the baited worms are released into the 2 buckets though to have the fewest number of worms living in them. All the buckets are also given their 3rd feeding

I don't want to put words in your mouth... but is it possible that 100 may have gone into bucket #3 & the remaining 50 went into bucket #4? :) If so, then I'll enter your estimate into my tracking spreadsheet that way. Please let me know....

If the goal is to get the bins to equal population I think it is futile . Worms do what they want and populate as they want so one bin may be faster breeders than the rest . Good luck.

Technically speaking, you are absolutely correct on all points :) However... if the feedback I get in the comments and the calculation in my tracking spreadsheet combine to give us matching worm counts in the buckets, then I think that would be kinda cool. Haha! Remember to please chime in with your estimates for how many additional worms were added to buckets #1 & #2 👍🏻
