The La-Rells featuring Frank Avery on lead. 'Everybody Knew" was released in 1961 on Robbee Records Sorry about the video quality it's a 3rd generation VHS dub
Who is the lead singer? I recently discovered The La Rells and fell in love with their voices on this video. The lead singer blew me away. Beautiful voices.
@@fncz Avery was the lead singer for Chocolate Syrup on "Stop Your Crying" b/w "The Goodness Of Love," first on Ira and then Avco. The record was a minor hit.
I thought i heard all the Doo-Wops, this group just turned my world upside down simply awesome for sure, a hit back then and today (2021) its given a re-birth.
I remember watching this live on tv - Johnny Angel and the Halos were on that bill int he studio too if I remember right. But we nearly fell over holy shit. Amazing harmony and replica of the original. Unreal
They still sound incredible!!!!!!!
Somebody help me please! I just discovered this recording and I think that I am addicted.
Wow, what a great sound. Can't stop replaying it.
Brings back great memories. My father Bobby Best was a member of the La Rells. Loved their music.

-Classic 50s-early 60s doowop soul sound!
This needed to be in front of a live audience. The crowd would have eaten this up.
