    Great video guys. Great views. We haven’t taken advantage of free camping yet, but it is on the horizon.

      Thanks Tim! 😀 You can definitely find the most amazing free spots, especially out west! 💯

    Prefer a mix of campgrounds and free. Haven’t done much free yet but hope to later this year. Thanks for all the info!

      Once you start finding free spots on public lands camping really goes to another level! 😁💯

    Another great adventure. I’m hoping to lean towards more of the free style BLM and Forest land type camping in the future. New to RVing and still new to or EKKO so a little heavy on the campsite locations for now.

      Thanks for watching! 💯 Fully understandable Richard.
      Once you check out a few free spots I think you’ll end up going that route more and more (especially out west). The views and privacy can be incredible. Some free spots can just be blah, but the majority are usually pretty great.
      There are some amazing paid campgrounds too of course, especially the state and national park campgrounds.

    We love the state parks but gonna try and do more Harvest Hosts this year. Watched your last video installing the Sumosprings. Since you been putting some miles on now, how are they handling on the Ekko? Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!

      Thanks for watching and for buying us some coffees! ☕️ We really appreciate it!
      It is truly a night and day difference. Turning into driveways, parking lots, onto a different height road is now enjoyable. No more of that huge sway/rocking of the rear.
      The front sumos seem to have helped a little bit, but definitely not as much as the rears. We are thinking we will probably replace the front struts with the bilstein struts eventually and remove the front sumos, but that will probably be in a year or so. We will certainly report back in videos as we put more miles on them and hit different terrain.

    Do you carry an extra cassette for the toilet for when there isn’t a dump option? Would you have preferred a black tank had you had the option?

    • @NealBritt
      @NealBritt  5 місяців тому +1

      We do not carry an extra cassette, but we may in the future just in case if our primary one breaks. We have found we can always find a place to dump it. Whether it be a normal rv dump (we always can find a free one), a pit/vault toilet at trail heads, etc, or a porta potty.
      At first we were unsure, but we have come to really like the convenience of the cassette toilet. A black tank has the advantage of having much more capacity and it’s less personal when dumping 😂
      But it always has the downfall of having a harder time to find a dump station and takes longer to dump with the higher capacity.
      We are very neutral on the cassette vs black tank. Either would work for us, but I think we may like the cassette a bit more now since it’s so easy to find a location to dump for free.

    Did you guys keep the Travato? Are you renting it? A Lot?

    • @NealBritt
      @NealBritt  5 місяців тому

      We unfortunately do not have the travato anymore. It caught fire while parked on our property in storage . We will share that with everyone eventually when we are done with the whole process.
      To say it’s been a rough week would be an understatement.
