@@KJRaycing what a small world haha. I'm from the capital, Wellington but I have a brother who lives down in Christchurch. Guessing you come here for the Antarctica trips to the military base there?
Oh I agree, both are fantastic. I personally like a-arms because it is easier to align tow and plunge. I’m using trailing arms on my two seater btw. I can’t wait to see the difference between the two setups first hand.
Can you tell me what that tube bender and nother is called again or the website. You should make some mini crosskart that take little 6 hp harbor freight motors for a little kids I think that be really cool
Roguefab.com for tools. A kids kart is in the works for my 9 year old daughter although she drives this one pretty well when I have her custom made seat brackets installed.
Which model of tube bender are you using? They have several it appears. I ask because there are several models such as light, medium, heavy. Love the videos. Excited to do a project with my son.
I use a RogueFab bender. The plans are actually written around it. All the karts use the same chassis but are outfitted differently. It’s called a VF-1 for Variable frame. I designed it to be a blank canvas for whatever you think a single seat machine should be. Thank you for the kind words.
I have the M600 but I think it has been updated to the M601 or 602. Their website has a KJ Raycing package at a discount price. Check in packages for it to see exactly what I use. They are super awesome guys and love talking to the builders if you want to call them even.
I have a components list available, but you can use the highest grade of heims that you want. A-arms are 1” Dom and there are plenty of options out there.
For those who are unable to purchase the bender, and other fabrication equipment (minus welding gear) either due to space or budget limitations, what would you recommend?
I would recommend buying a yerf dog. But I’m not sure how you will buy it with no money and I’m not sure where you will store it with no space. I had to save up for my tools just like everyone else. I’m a sergeant in the military so it’s not like I’m making 6 figures. This is the least expensive way to get into fabrication. Custom builds and instant gratification don’t really go together. I wish you the best.
You could also try and hit up some car fab shops or metal fabrication shops. I got several things done for free by talking with the owners (usually old men) and they might be able to direct you to someone. If you set up the tubes to be ready to bend then maybe they could direct you where to go. Also maybe get 2 sets of plans and go in with a friend or relative and split the costs of the equipment
@@KJRaycinghey sir I got my yerf dog I’m going to start with the atv A arms and then I want to fabricate your rear end, already purchased the razor hubs and Miata axles
Next best option is Sierra Cars has made a thing called "Sierra One" where you can buy most of a kross-cart chassis pre-bent and precut perfectly for a reasonable price(about the cost of a rogue fab). You will have to get it welded. They also sell the tabs and welding jig, but not A-arms. Again, will need to weld it yourself or get it welded and figure out the A-arms
How much engine power did you put in this vehicle. I know that I can put any engine in any power I want, but I want to know how much power the engine you put in, how many horsepower
I’m trying my best to show you guys how to do this stuff and that it’s not too bad once you get started. I measure my success with the successful builds that have been done… and yes, I’ll adopt you 😁
Just in time for lunch!
Thanks for the update 💯🔥
Yes, sir! It came together so nicely.
At the moment I'm building a crossfire with a 670 I'm doing a back half for motor and transmission to jackshaft to swingarm

Thank you!
Nice. I have a Woodward fab bender. Once I get the plans I try to convert it over for the 1.50 × 5.00 an 1 × 4.00
I can’t guarantee it, but the clr is close enough where you may not have to adjust the plans. They have been built with your clr’s by other builders.
@@KJRaycing thank you man glad to see the fb group growing everyday
Just bought some plans, going to be interesting as we use metric in New Zealand.
Where are you in NZ? I go to Christchurch quite often.

I wouldn't dismiss the befits of a trailing arm, forward bite can be had if pick up points are done correctly. That's not saying dbl wishbone is bad.

Another great vid KJ! could you tell me where you get your detachable steering wheels, and tires? thanks
Thank you so much! All of the items I use are in the components list.
Quantas cilindradas tem esse motor? Qual conversor de torque está usando?

Is it possible to build the whole thing using 1.5" tube?
Yes. You would have to make so minor adjustments for the front upper a arm attachment bars but it’s not only possible but should be pretty easy.
What did you use for the carrier
It is my design. This and the two seater are testbeds for it before it goes into production to be available to you guys 👍
What size and strength heim joints are you using and are they Teflon coated

What hubs and axles are you using
Rzr800 hubs, miata axles and my own center carrier.
@@KJRaycing thank you
@@KJRaycing Where does someone find the Rzr800 bearing carriers?
Where can I get this frame?
You gotta get the plans and you gotta build it. Check the description of the video for more details. 👍
what motor do you use
Anything you want
How much engine power did you put in this vehicle. I know that I can put any engine in any power I want, but I want to know how much power the engine you put in, how many horsepower
Stock was 18hp and I put an intake and exhaust on and re-jetted so I’m guessing around 20hp.
