Reiner Weiss is nearly 86, how brilliant! Not many people at this age can speak in such an engaging, energetic way. Congratulations!

it was a lot of fun to watch. Also, thanks professor for appreciating the people who works for the project and who already worked and passed away.

I believe in this. When I was a child, I used to look very long and deeper into the sunlight and I saw lots of waves around a black circle at the center which was also a question on my mind -- as a child, I am barely 7 or 8 years old then and even when I was older, I always do look into it and still the same...hence, I did not mind it anymore, especially since it's getting hotter and hotter nowadays. Now, that makes sense putting science into it. We don't have that brilliant education because of abject poverty. School is sort of for compliance to our parents only and we don't even have uniforms, shoes, or slippers (we go to school barefooted), we walk, no pencils or notebooks, just one book in school and it is for the teacher. I only listened to science, math, and other subjects/courses...Anyways, I still made it to so-called college... and here I am, listening to you. Love it.

If piglet went to school and got his PhD, this is what he would sound like. Seriously though, this man emits intelligence. I am just blown away by way he speaks and the things he says.

Yes, the detectors they've created are sensitive to the same frequencies your ears are - but they aren't sensitive to sound waves, they are sensitive to gravitational waves.

Just because you're unaware of the present frontiers of real scientific value doesn't mean there are no present frontiers of real scientific value. It just means you are unaware.
