- Hey y'all! I'm back with another Type 4 Hair Tutorial! Today I'm sharing how I achieved my Island Twists with Human hair. I like trying new styles on myself and I LOVE saving money, so why not try Island Twists?!
I used kanekalon hair for the twist themselves, but also used human hair for the first time to achieve the Island Twist/Boho vibe. I really liked this style and think it's perfect for summer and vacation! It does require a bit of maintenance, so just beware! Let me know if you have some tips on doing Island Twists! I wear a ton of protective styles like this one. I wash my scalp and use leave in conditioner when my hair is in these styles.
when I’m wearing my natural hair, I try to wash and deep condition once a week. I also trim every so often! I do a lot of twists and styles to keep me from playing in my hair too much! I do have breakage and problem areas, though, but low manipulation works for me! 🤗
