- Guitarist, writer, archivist and Smoke producer Nathan Salsburg spends time with one of our heroes, Charlie Louvin, at the Louvin Museum in Nashville. Charlie recalls his first radio shows and how audiences called for the old songs, including "The Knoxville Girl."

I could sit,and listen to Charlie, sing all night.
R.I.P. Charlie! Gone But Not Forgotten!
I am proud to be a small part of this Charlie Louvin memory.

Love you voice , as well. You are an amazing singer along with your guitar playing...
Good for you Diane Congratulations to you !
He and Ira worked so hard. They were great!
This is like Mike Watt talking about D. Boon's death. People remember a small part of a person's career that had such great prominence, that the bulk of their latter career is eclipsed. I love Charlie a lot, and respect his solo work--but we all know he will be most prominent for his work with the late great Lonnie Loudermilk.

Until I watched another interview video I had no idea that Ira and Charlie 's birth name was Loudermilk . John D was a relative on their fathers side. First cousin. Look at 5:20 on here ua-cam.com/video/-Us4vRlf6S8/v-deo.html
