My UEFA EURO 2024 Prediction

- Will football come home or not? Who knows...
Against my better judgment, I decided to predict the whole tournament of EURO 2024 that starts this weekend and I'll return to this video in just over a months time to bury my face in my hands.

Hell yeah, Groot, when you're not doing eurovision, I'll happily take Football, Of course, im rooting for my home nation Liebe Deutchland, But As my fav country ill also be rooting for Czechia.

Ooh interesting prediction with the 2018 final repeat. This is exactly the content that I needed btw. I would love to see a big upset happening this tournament. I agree with most of your prediction (even though I still hope for us to win our home tournament🙃)
My Semi finalist prediction would be Germany, France, Netherlands and England which is probably the most boring prediction one can make, but I could see some surprises up to the quarter-finals like Ukraine, Austria or even Slovenia.
As for the final, i predict France vs Netherlands with France winning it in the end.
When I cancelled my trial with the telegraph I had to call them up to cancel instead of just pressing a cancel button so get ready to be on hold for about 40 minutes :)
That's strange. I did it instantly after recording and faced no issues.
Think there will be some shockers. Austria and (hopefully) Switzerland will do really well... It's always nice to see the so-called underdogs perform better than expected. I'd like to think Germany or maybe even England will win, but my money is on France too.
We needed this❤ but! I have to say that it would be possible for PT to win against France. It's not as straightforward as you might think.

I wouldn't mind a Portugal win, but I'd rather not see them play as poorly as they did yesterday again

The Athletic Club of Bilbao was founded in 1898. Athletic's philosophy is unique in the world. The club defends that players must have a direct relationship with the Basque Country, either having been born there, having Basque relatives or having grown up playing in Basque lands. It is one of the teams in the Spanish league that has never dropped out of the first division along with Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona. Atlético de Madrid exists thanks to the Bilbao club.

I like how you rate Croatia. Obviously they've proven for the last 6 to 8 years that they're a very consistent, solid side. I do find it funny that they've always sent knockout games to extra time (and sometimes penalties) since euro 2016. I think that whilst a lot of their golden generation are getting older (Modric has played less and less this season, Brozovic plays in Saudi, Perisic is back in Croatia in Hajduk Split), they just step up for the country. They are just really intelligent players that don't need to overexpose themselves physically to control matches. I do really like Gvardiol, he plays with a lot of freedom at LB, very quick and strong and has been improving his decision making under Guardiola. Lovro Majer and Luka Sucic are pretty exciting attacking midfielders too. So I can see them keep their record of just finding ways to control matches. And if you go to penalties, you've got one of the best pk stoppers itw in Livakovic. A lot is dependent on how the groups turn out. 3rd place teams going through throws a spanner in the works. That's why I find predicting the Euros more difficult than the World Cup.
I thought the same about their players ageing back in 2022 for the World Cup but they still finished third so I won't ever count them out again haha!

eurovision and football are simply the best hobbies 😍 I'm already so hyped for the euro at home and i hope that it will be a great tournament with great vibes and that all guest fans feel comfortable here in Germany (but unfortunately the weather forecast doesn't look so good 😔)
I predict that England will be european champions and Austria/Hungary will be the dark horses of the tournament 🤔 and I hope that we germans make it to the knockout stage again 😅🇩🇪
I'd be more optimistic than that for Germany's chances! The squad looks stacked... can't believe they left Hummels at "home" though
@@groot1421 from a sporting point of view, I can't understand that either but the rumours say that he doesn't fit into the team in terms of chemistry which I can't imagine either 🤔 In terms of names we have a good team but it doesn't seem to be a sworn team. I'm also curious to see how we'll perform against very defensive opponents 🤔 the last test matches have shown that we have our problems in these situations
I also completed this exercise on the telegraph today and, although we didn't get the exact same matchups (obviously), I did also predict the only team to stop Croatia would be France, but my predictions had them meeting in the semi finals, rather than the final.

My hot take is Spain crashing out in the group stage - both Italy and Croatia have historically known how to beat them. Defensively Spain is very weak, will likely only win against Albania and even that could be a draw.
Austria on the other hand is going very far, I reckon they get 6 points in here and maybe do a Denmark from the last Euros. My country (Poland) is dead in the water, our qualifying campaign was as embarassing as Sweden and we only got here due to favourable play-off draw.
Spain's weakness is more the lack of attacking power, their only strikers are Morata and Joselu

It's coming home if England doesn't meet any of France/Germany/Spain on their way which is actually not impossible.

I don't understand this Croatia being too old argument.Most players are age 27 or younger.Unless you are only counting Modric,Perisic and Brozovic.
