I was a mother who drove a station wagon, Never stopped by police. My husband bought me a red and white Cadillac the police stopped me. And I said why are you stopping me he said I just wanna do see who was driving this car, Why didn't you stop me when I was driving the station wagon. Police do what they want to do when they want to do it for their own personal reasons, Nothing to do with violation, crime Any criminal activity. I just saw a fine chick in a bad car , And he stop me for his own personal reasons.

I'm white. I've never been pulled over once as a driver in 13 years. Not once. The only time I was questioned by a cop, I was parked at a gas station I frequented and was in my 1981 Ford Granada (first vehicle) and I just so happened to have two black passengers (not a common occurrence for me being from a racist hick rural county in Michigan that is 99.999% white). The cop immediately questioned my passengers of "bringing drugs up from Detroit". I was the driver, but was not even questioned. They had no drugs, they did nothing wrong, they were guilty of nothing but existing and being black. The cop knew my dad and therefore knew who I was, and left without making a bad situation worse. I was not mature enough or educated enough at 18 to have realized just how fucked up that situation was.

He was the foreman for the entire Deep South. When I was stopped (always for speeding), I would give the officer my DL and he’d ask if Garland Madden was my dad. I’d say yeah and he’d hand my license back and say be careful. I never thot much about it until I was with black friends and saw what they went through. Unbelievable bullshit! My dad was a fair and honest gentleman, so when I told him about it, he said to use his name for them too. If they were to press an issue, my dad would say, tell them to call me I came to understand that’s White Privilege, so I’d use it whenever I could to help out my friends and even strangers when I saw them being bullied.
Finally a mexican who does not say they are Latino, but is proud to be native and knows they are native and does not act like being mexican is a race, cause there are different races that are mexican...finally someone knows the difference between race, nationality, ethnicity etc!!!
I'm a white male and I know this is happening, a coworker and I were getting off of work and my car had to be towed, so he gave me a ride to the garage and he said he would stay just in case I needed a ride home. He had an expensive car, we were standing outside that car and a policemen walked up and ask him for some ID, he started to give it to him and I stopped him and asked the officer why he needed it. What I got was some answers that didn't make sense and I said he committed no crime so what's the problem, the policemen was dumbfounded, he couldn't answer. I said, you just can't walk up to people asking for their ID, I started to dial my lawyer and the policemen ask me what I was doing and I told him, he said nothing wrong and I said evidently so, you walked up to an American citizen coming off of work and detained him for no reason. He said have a nice day and walked away and my friend said, that's the first time he didn't have to show his ID driving this car and I didn't know what to say, he works hard for everything he's got.

I never got pulled over in that car, he got pulled over, Gee I can’t even count the times! one time the cop pulled him over in front of the house, his excuse was there’s no license plate light on, so I see the flashing lights from my house, I walk outside, I go up to the police man and I say what’s your problem officer?, he says , there’s no light on the license plate. I look straight at him I said you’re harassing this man and he happens to be my husband. Then I walk over to the license plates I pointed the light ...both of them , and I say “ Mercedes-Benz are so well built, not only do they have one light over the license plate, but they have two lights and if you haven’t noticed both of them are on. You are harassing my husband and you need to stop now. I was livid. And actually for a while they stopped. It was a small town. They knew me and they knew him. I finally got fed up and move into the country side.
