I noticed that a person that lives a couple of houses from me had a picker removing stuff from his garage and loading up a trailer, I also noticed an adult trike that was getting scrapped. I asked the scrapper what he wanted for it, I bought it for $12 not knowing anything about Worksman bikes. This thing still has bubble rap on the frame in places and is in mint condition. I love it.
I have a Worksman cruiser I purchased about 10 years ago. They are built like tanks and replacement parts are probably still available. Great find and have fun
I have 2 Newsboys. One New, just a regular Cruiser. And the other Newsboy has a 3-speed and a front Drum Brake(ridden twice).... And on 10-22-24, just 2days ago, I both The Worksman Urban Commuter with a 3-Speed and Extra Wide seat. I found all of mine on Facebook Marketplace. 2 of the bike were Brand spanking New. And the other one, the fella' that sold it to me, said he had only ridden it twice and got rid of it, because of a Knee injury. And to be perfectly honest, the tires weren't even dirty. I love these bikes!
If you got a WorksMan for $5.00, you Stole It! I still have my 1978 Schwinn Heavy Duty (Paperboy Bike). All original, she's built like a Tank! Bright Yellow, chrome fenders, 1 speed coaster brake, steel rims, small cracks in the original tires, I just added air, and she runs like a Champ! Riding her brings back Great Memories of Winter days on my paper route in Detroit!
Those are exactly the memories this bike brings back for me. Too bad for this generation that paper routes are no longer an option. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
I have a Worksman Tricycle. Made in 1970. I need too replace the gooseneck. I paid 150 dollars for it 2 years ago. It's my only transportation and it is a beauty. Even without a new paint job
I have a 1990s worksman cycle that I got from a bike shop out here in Lancaster California it was donated to the bike shop from Lockheed Martin I bought it for a hundred bucks it's worth like $900
Enjoyed the video. The section on the front wheel hub explains why Worksman brags about their "knockout hub." Your comments about the master link made me laugh. I'm 73. Your "odd" master link was the only style I had ever seen or dealt dealt. When I got back into bicycling a few years ago, I thought the Shimano quick links were very "odd"!

Have the 3 speed classic cruiser with a drum brake in the front. Every time some bike person sees it they give it a look see. Good $5.
Wow...a front drum brake! That would be interesting to see. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
That double top tube frame design goes way back. It cleaned up really nice. Merry Christmas Rick.

Instead of aluminum foil use zero grade steel wool to polish the rims and for the fenders use a buffer and a clay bar
It's just the old dry-rotted Tire!
@@erichardin2635 Mine were dry rotted badly but I replaced them.
Sir, what year is your worksman?
I'm not sure. Maybe I can look up the serial number and decode it somehow? I don't think it is very old since the brakes were made in Mexico.
Put a smaller rear sprocket or larger front to get higher gearing
Theres on on FB mint cond for 80.00 and he cant give it away.
