Can I just say, I love the descriptions of all of the animals? Specifically genders and ages. The one at 37:33 is orthogonal, so it's gender is either "independent" or "right angles" and I don't know which one I like best. It's age? "Fluctuating"! what does that mean? how does it change age? I sure don't know, but that's super cool!! I love how the descriptions are so non-human. Like humans aren't the base life form
+TheCODster16 I get that this is a joke but like !! this is pretty much what the animals are like. they have genders that a vast majority of humans would not have thought of. One animal was "symmetrical" and another was a curved line. I don't know why I find this all so cool but it fuckin is
The fluctuating age could theoretically be like the Turritopsis dohrnii; The Immortal Jellyfish. Once it starts feeling a little old and decrepit, it says "Oh Hell no. I don't want no wrinkles!" aaaand turns back into an immature polyp.
I'm with Jack on this one. The game is cool already, in a 'slow-and-steady' kinda way, and it looks like I could spend hours playing it... But if they add some kind of base building mechanics, I'm 100% in and never looking back.
My friend has been doing nothing but playing this game since release like 18-20hs a day. He hasnt fixed the ship, hes just explored the planet and is still finding new shit.
nah not really. 6-4, while obviously not healthy is still livable and pretty normal for him. besides if I was indulging what would the point of calling me out be? I dont understand your reasoning beyond just wanting to be right.
I don't need to, Sean Murray (head of Hello Games) already did. www.pcgamesn.com/no-mans-sky-no-multiplayer Do your damn research before calling me on mine.
+SMthegamer1 I don't get no man sky fanboys. When people say it's a multiplayer game and complain because they can't find their friends their like "it's not a multiplayer game the developer said so do your research." But when people complain that it's not a multiplayer game because two people were in the exact same spot but couldn't see each other,(that's only one example), the fanboys say "it's a multiplayer game the developer said so do your research."
I know this game won't be for everyone, so I won't argue with anyone if they say they don't like it. But from what I've seen, this is just my game. I know it might get repetitive but I don't care. It's so aesthetically pleasing and calming to me so it'll definitely be my tune out game after a long day at work. I'm excited!
9:32 if you guys are looking for a Until Dawn esque game for lets watch, you should consider playing heavy rain. I would love to see ryans decisions in that game.
I think most of them played it. Plus I think I'd rather they play Beyond 2 Souls. If they played HR the fanboys of that game will just get pissy when they talk over it or make fun of it. B2S is popular to hate on plus the co-op makes for a funny video. The playthough Aleks and James (CowChop) did in that game is funny as hell.
I would definitely watch them do Heavy Rain. On the topic of Until Dawn though, I haven't watched their videos as I watched another playthrough of the game first, but when they said people got mad at them, let me guess: They just played through and made decisions as they saw fit and probably got at least some of the characters killed, and everyone got pissy at them for not saving everyone? (as if there's a "right" way to play the game)
Ryan and these animals is comedy gold. That little critter with the cute orange face galloping towards him with the happy smiley emote only to get gunned down, lmao. 38:28
I'm not buying this at full price until I see more. A lot of people will defend this game to the death after only 2 days, I'd love to see a statistic of how many people will have dropped off 1-2 weeks in.
Not seeing the game, it sounds awesome. Travel from planet to planet, REALISTICALLY unlike Starbound still a great game though. Haven't heard much only seen 15 minutes of gameplay I was like ok, ok. Then I saw the image/art of what the game was invisioned to be I was amazed, but disappointed.
I think any game that got smacked with the hype hammer would have a significant drop -off after a couple weeks. from what I 've seen so far this game is definitely more niche than its current level of exposure would indicate. personally I like the idea of exploring and stuff but I am well aware it's not for everyone.
Twin Dongs That is all it is though. Travelling from planet to planet. All together from watching a bunch of LP's, I've seen roughly 16 planets altogether and I'm already seeing the same assets. All the buildings look exactly the same, the beacon locations are dug out in the same manner and all the planets are just barren wastelands with samey uninteresting foliage and rocks. At the end of the day, the only thing this game has got going for it is looks and the people over-excited about this game are in the honeymoon phase, a lot of them need to justify a bad purchase and the rest are genuinely liking what it is SO FAR.
HeyitsTom I understand that most single player games won't hold a person's interest for a week. But the only thing they loved to spout was how HUGE the game is and I'd hope a game like this would hold somebody's attention for months. Exploring is good yes, when there are new things to discover. This hasn't proven that yet, like I said before. I'm already seeing the same stuff, slightly varied to the point where I hardly even notice.
On disc DLC and micro-transactions has forever ruined the majority of the gaming communities perception of post release content. Yeah, they are adding new content for free in a future update. However, a lot of people will see that and immediately cry "meh, this game is trash because it's incomplete." Despite what the game is, or what the future content is. I personally don't have a problem with that, but people can be entitled brats.
Everyone's complaining about Jack, but he's been super useful in this video. He pointed out a lot of things, while Jeremy's like "Oh, I guess you can't do that".
I just finished watching their 7 Days to Die Let's Play and now I'm watching this. Daaaamn the FOV HUUUUUUUUUUUUURTS to look at in this game! I have a feeling this game will get a lot of microtransactions before this year is over or early next year. Watching this games makes me feel really lonely. It's a horrible feeling. 26:28 What the fuck Jeremy?! The devs of No Man's Sky lied! There is no multiplayer. The game is singleplayer. This video must be recorded before or on the same day it was released because everyone knows that two people did manage to get to the exact same location in the first 24h of release. Hello Games are full of shit.
It's not similar at all. At least minecraft allows you to build and create your own stuff. Like more games and stuff. But this is just exploring. Which would get very boring after like the 3rd episode
When you go into the comments expecting everyone to be nice because theirs someone that knows about what to do in the game, instead of being completely clueless instead you get just a bath of vinegar and salt.
Ryan my man, with a firefly reference. "That will cause a blowblack." Shiny and made my day, especially since in Vy'Keen space folk may just come across a part of it I have begun calling the 'Verse. Dozens of planets and hundreds of moons named after the firefly counterparts
He was dumbing it down for Ryan, he used the corresponding buttons for the xbox when explaining what to push, since xbox doesnt have it he simply called it the big center button.
He's good for the most part, but sometimes he really messes things up, haha. Like in their Galacticraft videos where I believe Ryan was the one that kept saying the Sun would't set on the moon, forgetting that the moon is tidally locked to the Earth and not the Sun. Well, I don't think a planet's moon could be tidally locked to the system's star, but you know what I mean.
well if we focus in on what game there playing you'd take note to remember that every planet has a plentiful amount on it plus its Ryan so we can assume that since he was in a state of danger he'd miss state something he was probably meaning to say on this planet not universe or he did mean it but put into a context of exaggeration but technically he was not wrong from the games perspective.
Between 29:00 and 30:00... did Ryan make a Firefly reference? "That could cause a blowback." Or have I not watched that show for too long? I know he's a fan.
Leave it to jack to ask, while witnessing the beautiful pkanets, rich diversity of planets and systes, lasers, warp drive, spaceships, if you can build
Does Elite Dangerous procedurally generate universes to the extent that the entire human race would be extinct before it's all been explored? No? Shush child.
I like elite dangerous more. it's more realistic, you can have interactions with other players(without needing to travel forever, like they said in the video)
Also keep in mind this was developed by a much smaller team with an eye more towards exploration rather than combat. Elite Dangerous already kinda implies you're going to be doing a lot of interacting with others online.
In 30 minutes they mined and collected items, repaired their ship and took off, flew around space, and then landed on a new planet. What else is there? Disappointment?
570RM From the few planets I saw, they had some randomly generated nothing animals and plants, more collectable materials, and everything was a different color. At what point do you stop giving a shit? Now if there was lore and meaning behind everything on these planets...
Clearly you know nothing about the game since there's around as much lore in NMS as Skyrim so far. The systems etc. are all randomly generated, but there's still plenty of stuff put in by Hello Games and it's an amazing universe to learn about, especially the main plot.
SMthegamer1 Not that I doubt you, but can you give me an example of the lore? What level of depth is there here? Keeping up the skyrim comparison, are there gods in this universe, or higher beings (like daedra)? Can you find planets that have caves and stuff in them with little notes and stuff detailing roughly what happened and you end up solving it? I didn't think there was much in the way of NPCs that can hold a conversation with you
Sorry about the late reply, been playing on and off since my stream yesterday. In order of your questions: *Hardcore spoilers* At the start of the game each player is given a choice regarding the Atlas questline, which for me so far has been exploring the idea that this universe is actually an experiment run by a much greater being, with existence as we know it simply being the test subjects (aka the players are Scientists, the game is our experiment). Every planet I've found so far has lore on it, in most cases it's computer logs in buildings and provide information or history about the NPC races in the area, such as learning that the seemingly peaceful Gek traders are actually a race of savage conquerors hell-bent on taking over the universe and destroying civilisations, with one ancient text stating that on the day of the last planet being taken, the Gek will cry for an eternity and likely kill themselves to quench their bloodthirst. In rare cases you can find some info on the Atlas questline, such as learning names or origin stories. The languages also give an idea of what each race is about, such as the Vy'Keen mostly using military words, like "Death", "Visual", and "Warrior", confirming their general personality trait of being a warrior race. However reading their lore, they're actually mostly hostile at the Sentinels as they beleive all things must one day end, and as a self replicating robot race, they're pretty much immortal, thus the Vy'Keen have started a war against the sentinels which the player can even join (I was asked to point at either a Vy'Keen or a Sentinel since I didn't know the language, so far I've joined a war, arranged a marriage, and have had an assassin set on me). In regards to the players though, long ago some 'Ancients' made a law that explorers must be allowed to continue (aka the players shouldn't be killed) as they will make a discovery changing the universe for the better (I suspect that's what's at the centre of the game). So yeah, there's a whole hell of a lot of lore, and I can't wait to find out more to make me say holy s*** again. Hope I helped.
Base building doesn't really fit into the story for this game, although Hello Games have suggested that Freighters and base building may be coming in a future update, I assume with an accompanying story reason. The game already has stations, though it also already has materials described as being used in Outpost construction (such as space stations or land-based buildings), so it's quite likely, just not in the current context.
Why would you need to build bases? You're unlikely to stay on the same planet for very long, or even the same system.... In a way, your SHIP is your base, as you use that to get around everywhere. You land, explore, mine, trade, etc, then leave and go somewhere else.
I've got to admit though, I've found a few planets with enough resources to last me the rest of the game, but I only had the storage in my ship and character for two jumps. At the very least, I'd like to be able to add storage compartments to my ship or get a new exo suit (that might already be a thing, I've been avoiding spoilers).
The progression system in No Mans Sky is deceptively complex, but it depends on what you deem "progression", there is no level system in NMS. But it gets more and more complex the further you get in the game, it looks pretty slow though, I have seen several videos already and most haven't got much further than they did in this one, some of those videos were 4 hours long.
I like that you guys are just hanging out playing it. Part of the reason I enjoy Lets Watches. More conversation, easier to follow, and I get to really experience the game with you. I'm personally excited to give this game a try on Saturday. My plan was to name planets and everything else after the crowd. Hooray for interactivity! So you can name animals, plants, planets, and the entire system right? Can you name anything else? I assume that pretty much covers all.
What annoys me about the game is you travel light years between systems and yet all the buildings look the same. Kills the immersion for me that's everything is exactly the same.
I had a conversation today where a Vy'Keen stabbed me in the eye with poison while screaming Death! Death! (the only word I knew in the conversation). Thankfully since I'm at the 'Special Relationship' level I was given the option to pull rank, at which point it said sorry, gave me a bunch of free stuff, and begged me not to kill him... I love this game.
Immediate regret of sleeping during Gek in High School, "What are they saying?" "Um, I think Sandwiches, but I don't know how to ask for confirmation if it's true..."
Love how they thought Heridum was hard to find, when they walked by a lot of it. Reminds me of Michael when he looked for iron during the early days of MC.
Ik people say it sucks because it has no multiplayer even tho it does it's just the chances are slim and I feel when people start getting to the center of the universe as being the objective of the game we will get to interact with other people.
No... no it isn't. I think the vast majority wanted it to be good. I thought it was a fascinating concept. If pulled off correctly, could be outstanding. I'm very disappointed that I don't like it.
"it's nearly impossible for to meet anyone because it's so massive" except for those two guys who managed it on day one yet for whatever reason couldn't see each other
Pro tip apparently if you place upgrades of the same type next to each other they provide a multiplier bonus and a 25% connection bonus aka bolt caster 2x3x2= 12 total damage bonus and if +3 is say cooling your receiving a total of 50% Cooling bonus for having 2 upgrades next to it.
+The Darkness why wouldn't you??? Exploring the universe is going to get very boring alone. Seriously. This gameplay can only last most people for so long. Just finding resources and exploring and upgrading crap isn't going to keep most people entertained for a long time. Imagine minecraft without being able to play with friends
@The Darkness GTAV has an ingaging story with colorful characters, this doesn't have have that. Also Devin Y asked you about Minecraft, not GTA, GTA can be fun without the multiplayer aspect but minecraft would get boring for a good chunk of its fan base if it was just a single player game in which you couldn't interact with anyone.
1. This game isn't just gathering and exploring, there's also a s*** ton of story elements and missions. 2. Multiplayer is already in the game, it just isn't functioning correctly due to server load (src: www.playstationlifestyle.net/2016/08/10/no-mans-sky-multiplayer-server-issues-may-impacted-planned-meetup/ ) 3. No Man's Sky doesn't require PS+, it was a pretty big marketing point (www.polygon.com/2016/7/25/12271394/no-mans-sky-playstation-plus) Please research a topic before complaining or requesting changes.
Achievement Hunter guys, I've never wanted anything more in my life from you but this, PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE MAKE THIS AN ON GOING SERIES!!!! PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!
Id recommend Elite dangerous for those of you who like flying and exploring space... planetary stuff is limited but the tech and realism of the game is A-MAZING.
I think it's awesome how fascinated Jeremy was with the game!! He was cool enough to take it seriously, like that part about naming his discoveries scientifically, and how he took it as a journey of discovery like it's meant to be!! The game really doesn't deserve the hate it's been getting... it's really unique, and fantastic at that!!
all i meant was that there isn't much going on. so 4 people trying to commentate on 1 thing gets overwhelming. they could have done a play pals or just 2 of them like star trek or saints row.
I think the reason let's watches are so good is because everyone watching can fully focus on comedy instead of playing and individually reacting to the game
4:39 And at that moment, Ryan screwed himself over skipping the tutorial which gives you the blueprint to make a hyperdrive meaning that he can't swap ships if the new one doesn't have a hyperdrive.
holy fuck jack's short term memory. He was shocked that the grahgrah sold for 13000 and said so himself, and literally 40 seconds later "I thought you sold the other one for 18000."
Can I just say, I love the descriptions of all of the animals? Specifically genders and ages. I sexually identity as an obtuse angle
+TheCODster16 I get that this is a joke but like !! this is pretty much what the animals are like. they have genders that a vast majority of humans would not have thought of. One animal was "symmetrical" and another was a curved line. I don't know why I find this all so cool but it fuckin is
+PoeticPotato no I got you, I saw some playthroughs and saw some animal genders
The fluctuating age could theoretically be like the Turritopsis dohrnii; The Immortal Jellyfish. Once it starts feeling a little old and decrepit, it says "Oh Hell no. I don't want no wrinkles!" aaaand turns back into an immature polyp.
I'm with Jack on this one. The game is cool already, in a 'slow-and-steady' kinda way, and it looks like I could spend hours playing it... But if they add some kind of base building mechanics, I'm 100% in and never looking back.
In one of the updates soon, they're adding base building. Apparently all the content will be in free updates, like Halo 5.
Not all the content, there will most likley be priced DLC
I'm pretty certain that the devs said no priced dlc, only free updates
+fastfriz they also said it will be multiplayer
Base building is coming in the next update. So is owning massive space freighters. And yes the update is free.
My friend has been doing nothing but playing this game since release like 18-20hs a day. He hasnt fixed the ship, hes just explored the planet and is still finding new shit.
That's fucking awesome. It's cool that you can spend that much time, on just one planet.
right? hes like an influential member of the alien community on the planet and hes almost fluent in the language its crazy
+Oni Advocate that's so sick I've been waiting for this game and I can't wait to get it
so he's getting 6-4 hours of sleep and staying up for 18-20 hours? for some reason I get the feeling your indulging
nah not really. 6-4, while obviously not healthy is still livable and pretty normal for him. besides if I was indulging what would the point of calling me out be? I dont understand your reasoning beyond just wanting to be right.
No Multiplayer Sky.
One Man's Sky.
It's a multiplayer game, your comment is nonsensical.
+SMthegamer1 tell that to the two people that found each other but wasn't able to see each other.
I don't need to, Sean Murray (head of Hello Games) already did.
www.pcgamesn.com/no-mans-sky-no-multiplayer
Do your damn research before calling me on mine.
It's absolutely awesome, specially if you love the space exploration aspect of it.
+ImMrJoker spaaaaaaaaaaaccccceeeeee
It does get a bit repetitive but most of the planets all still look different and its definitely a game where you can play and just relax.
Definitely!
This looks like the game you want to play just before going to bed. So calming and easy on the eyes.
Euclid Galaxy? Someone better call the SCP department and hope their space technology is up to pare to deal with this
That'd be a good play pals.
Let's hope they don't get to a Keter galaxy
Let's hope they don't find the rest of 682's race...
Ryan the still up in the no man's sky guy
29:47 Ryan with the Firefly joke. You're my hero Ryan

Communist Vodka Oh man, maybe I should watch it just for that. Typical Geoff, haha.
Ryan and these animals is comedy gold. That little critter with the cute orange face galloping towards him with the happy smiley emote only to get gunned down, lmao. 38:28
The FOV in this game is painful.
It makes me feel sick.
Gamers can withstand all the fovs even if they suck
I have no problem with it. Looks fine to me.
Mr. Note Console gamer.
Albert Holden
Picky bitch.
I play console and PC.
I'm not buying this at full price until I see more. A lot of people will defend this game to the death after only 2 days, I'd love to see a statistic of how many people will have dropped off 1-2 weeks in.

+SirMonkeySuit I don't know if you knew this but apparently the point of the game is to get to the center of the universe
Let us pray there are no poor space cows
I spoke way too soon.
Space Edgar is the one in the hole!
they looked shifty though, so they definitely had it coming
He'll put Moon Edgar into the black hole
Space Edgar is the one in the worm hole!
31:50 there bringing base building in a future update
So this is an Early Access game now?
+Phaerie lol what? there adding in extra content post launch like basically every other good game ever
And space whales!
+NINmann01 there seems to be a bit of a no man's sky hate circle jerk going around the internet so I'm not surprised
This better be a part 1 cause i love watching ryan play
Everyone's complaining about Jack, but he's been super useful in this video. He pointed out a lot of things, while Jeremy's like "Oh, I guess you can't do that".
Was jack trying to do the doctor who theme?
He tried...
"trying"
I want "Give High Docking" on a shirt.
I just finished watching their 7 Days to Die Let's Play and now I'm watching this. Daaaamn the FOV HUUUUUUUUUUUUURTS to look at in this game! I have a feeling this game will get a lot of microtransactions before this year is over or early next year.

+leahciMheT no idea how
It's not that big a deal lol
The two guys that met up with each other didn't even have PS+ At the time they met each other.
there no microtransactions
22:02 "you're really attached to this Harambe thing"
Listen here, Michael.
He was there for us when no one else was.
I can't tell if the FOV is bad or what but this looks weird to me
you get like a 90 degree slice instead of the usual 120, most games let you go all the way up to 160 ish in the options
30 POV+30 FPS=60 dollars
+Sp00kyAidz Hence why PC is so much better :D
console games are typically like that, on PC you often have the choice to change it
You, sir, are on crack.
33:43 Jacks excitement for space whales is amazing
I think it would be pretty cool if they replace this with minecraft or something considering how similar it is and just explore other planets.
It's not similar at all. At least minecraft allows you to build and create your own stuff. Like more games and stuff. But this is just exploring. Which would get very boring after like the 3rd episode
Yeah it really sucks that you csn't really build anything.
How bout they replace minecraft with 7 days to die
Hahaha they have nothing alike I've never seen someone compare this to minecraft they're completely different 😂
The next update is going to include base building among other things
I come from the future.
No Man’s Sky has changed so much since launch and is one of my favorite games of all time now.
When you go into the comments expecting everyone to be nice because theirs someone that knows about what to do in the game, instead of being completely clueless instead you get just a bath of vinegar and salt.
38:40
**Ryan murders weird abominations of creatures**
Michael: "Ryan, how do you sleep at night?!"
Ryan: "On a bed of those things!"
i wanna see geoff play this and let him land on a planet thats super hostile
Ryan my man, with a firefly reference. "That will cause a blowblack." Shiny and made my day, especially since in Vy'Keen space folk may just come across a part of it I have begun calling the 'Verse. Dozens of planets and hundreds of moons named after the firefly counterparts
This game NEEDS multiplayer
nah it doesn't really
I thought it had it, cause if it doesn't then that's really lame
yes it does imgur.com/a/rSDQn
I hope this send the right message
it dosent
sean murry lead dev said it does multiple times however so far there dosent look like there is
Plenty of games already like that this is something different.
"how do you sleep at night?" "on a bed of those things" god i love ryan
Is that actually the FOV of the game?
I like ur profile pic lol
The FoV makes me wish I didn't exist
+I0nic that can be arranged
the fov is like that to hide the items being generated next to you
since there are no load times in the game
I never noticed: when they scan the creatures, the weight comes up as meters, and the height is kilograms. Real polished game there.
"The big center button". xD Goes to show how much PS4 Jeremy plays.
Their main system is Xbox so calm down
+The Darkness No you. :D
+The Darkness when did he get angry
He was dumbing it down for Ryan, he used the corresponding buttons for the xbox when explaining what to push, since xbox doesnt have it he simply called it the big center button.
Idk what it's called either
43:53 It says docking at the bottom left so its obviously 'space station' that you should of said.
13:30 hydrogen makes up 75% of the universe carbon isn't even close to the most plentiful "Mr. science"
He's good for the most part, but sometimes he really messes things up, haha. Like in their Galacticraft videos where I believe Ryan was the one that kept saying the Sun would't set on the moon, forgetting that the moon is tidally locked to the Earth and not the Sun. Then Helium makes the next 24% and the rest is every other element.
I think he meant in terms of the game
well if we focus in on what game there playing you'd take note to remember that every planet has a plentiful amount on it plus its Ryan so we can assume that since he was in a state of danger he'd miss state something he was probably meaning to say on this planet not universe or he did mean it but put into a context of exaggeration but technically he was not wrong from the games perspective.
At 17:10 , the height and weight is backwards on the info pop up for the creature.
I find it surprising that 4 Americans could play this game for this long and not complain about how the temperature was in Celsius
We just disregard it as an alien unit of measurement.
i wish us mericans would convert
+The Athen Then get out
*****
na its way more fun to change the whole country
Alternatively, you could just convert everything you personally use to Metric.
Between 29:00 and 30:00... did Ryan make a Firefly reference? "That could cause a blowback." Or have I not watched that show for too long? I know he's a fan.
Leave it to jack to ask, while witnessing the beautiful pkanets, rich diversity of planets and systes, lasers, warp drive, spaceships, if you can build
please make a part two this was one of the best videos in a while, for me at least
Everybody acting like this game brought in a new idea must have forgotten the elite series introduced these mechanics
Yeah but all of these mechanics are new to console gamers
The what series
Wasn't until recently you could get out of your ship in Elite though
Elite Dangerous, based off an old series of games
Does Elite Dangerous procedurally generate universes to the extent that the entire human race would be extinct before it's all been explored?
No?
Shush child.
19:15 I was dying of laughter when they said Harambe.
It's not gay if it's on the moon.
"How do you sleep at night?!"
"On a bead of those things"
classic xD
AH and TFS Gaming are in the same Galaxy fairly close to each other....... Crossover???????
????!!!!! omg id die
If only they'd be able to actually see each other.
yeah..... Oh well.
+Darren Rogers more than likely not the same Galaxy. The majority of galaxy's are called Euclid Galaxy's
+Robert Connolly So it's referring to the class of galaxy or something instead of giving you an actual name?
"How can someone have the name Salazar and not be evil." -Jeremy Dooley, 2016
I like elite dangerous more. it's more realistic, you can have interactions with other players(without needing to travel forever, like they said in the video)
then go play elite dangerous. No Mans sky is neither of those things. Even the dev's say don't go in this expecting multiplayer. That's not what it is
It was never meant to be the same style of game as Elitie
Also keep in mind this was developed by a much smaller team with an eye more towards exploration rather than combat. Elite Dangerous already kinda implies you're going to be doing a lot of interacting with others online.
Except elite dangerous is shit.
+Austin White when you hate because your bad at it
Wanting to point this out: Ryan got a heck of a roll for a starting world cause I think that's a paradise world.
In 30 minutes they mined and collected items, repaired their ship and took off, flew around space, and then landed on a new planet.
What else is there? Disappointment?
Ah yes, Universes only have one planet and a moon. I forgot that's how space works. /S

From the few planets I saw, they had some randomly generated nothing animals and plants, more collectable materials, and everything was a different color.
SMthegamer1
Not that I doubt you, but can you give me an example of the lore? What level of depth is there here? Keeping up the skyrim comparison, are there gods in this universe, or higher beings (like daedra)? Can you find planets that have caves and stuff in them with little notes and stuff detailing roughly what happened and you end up solving it?
I didn't think there was much in the way of NPCs that can hold a conversation with you
Sorry about the late reply, been playing on and off since my stream yesterday.
In order of your questions:
*Hardcore spoilers*
At the start of the game each player is given a choice regarding the Atlas questline, which for me so far has been exploring the idea that this universe is actually an experiment run by a much greater being, with existence as we know it simply being the test subjects (aka the players are Scientists, the game is our experiment).
Jack humming the Doctor Who theme gives me life
If base building got added to this game i would be completely interested but for now im at 50/50 if im going to get it.
Personally I would prefer station building, and the ability to start your own trading enterprise.
I already stated that in the second comment of this thread, please read threads before posting to them.
Jack, forever trying to build a house in every game
This game reminds me of Starbound, just not 2d
but with no multiplayer, and, from what I have seen, a weaker progression system.
The progression system in No Mans Sky is deceptively complex, but it depends on what you deem "progression", there is no level system in NMS. But it gets more and more complex the further you get in the game, it looks pretty slow though, I have seen several videos already and most haven't got much further than they did in this one, some of those videos were 4 hours long.
alot less in depth
I like that you guys are just hanging out playing it. Part of the reason I enjoy Lets Watches. More conversation, easier to follow, and I get to really experience the game with you. I'm personally excited to give this game a try on Saturday. My plan was to name planets and everything else after the crowd. Hooray for interactivity! So you can name animals, plants, planets, and the entire system right? Can you name anything else? I assume that pretty much covers all.
What annoys me about the game is you travel light years between systems and yet all the buildings look the same. Kills the immersion for me that's everything is exactly the same.
2:29, That's Orb Church. "You will fear my laser face!"
in my game I learned the Gek word for docking XD
Likewise.
I also get called an interloper a lot.
give, high, Gek, docking, and first XD
I had a conversation today where a Vy'Keen stabbed me in the eye with poison while screaming Death! Death! (the only word I knew in the conversation).
Thankfully since I'm at the 'Special Relationship' level I was given the option to pull rank, at which point it said sorry, gave me a bunch of free stuff, and begged me not to kill him... I love this game.
+SMthegamer1 beautiful
Immediate regret of sleeping during Gek in High School, "What are they saying?" "Um, I think Sandwiches, but I don't know how to ask for confirmation if it's true..."
Love how they thought Heridum was hard to find, when they walked by a lot of it. Reminds me of Michael when he looked for iron during the early days of MC.
This is one of those games that people love to hate
Ik people say it sucks because it has no multiplayer even tho it does it's just the chances are slim and I feel when people start getting to the center of the universe as being the objective of the game we will get to interact with other people.
I love to love it haha
No... no it isn't. I think the vast majority wanted it to be good.
I thought it was a fascinating concept. If pulled off correctly, could be outstanding.
I'm very disappointed that I don't like it.
***** You feel that way, and I know the game is plagued with issues, but lots of people are just jumping on the bandwagon of hate.
+LuKas Pharmer how do you know that?
"it's nearly impossible for to meet anyone because it's so massive" except for those two guys who managed it on day one yet for whatever reason couldn't see each other
wow this game looks so boring.
It's not for everyone, I'm having tons of fun playing it, and my wife and son love watching me play it.
I take it you don't like minecraft either
thelittletomato Yes?
I wish I had your family
+iain rickwood if minecraft had no building aspect. And all you could do was just explore the world. The series would have died long ago
Melee attack just before you use your jetpack, you get a pretty big speed boost, helps a lot
I'm early let me make a joke.
harambe
Dicks out for him
+Jaquerata damn straight
We all know the real secret of the center of the galaxy. Harambe lives in no mans sky.
Why is this still a thing.
+BrutalyStoked lol
Pro tip apparently if you place upgrades of the same type next to each other they provide a multiplier bonus and a 25% connection bonus aka bolt caster 2x3x2= 12 total damage bonus and if +3 is say cooling your receiving a total of 50% Cooling bonus for having 2 upgrades next to it.
The blissful ignorance and hope that we all had about this game before we found out about Sean Murray and his lies. I want that back.
53:30 Shout out to jack, coming in with the Doctor Who theme song!
This game seems too niche to justify the hype around it.
1:44
What's not cool about this game, is that sometimes you spawn 30 minutes away from your ship, on a -30 C planet, with no resources nearby.
Not buying this til they add in some form of cooperative play
Why would you want this to be coop
+The Darkness why wouldn't you??? Exploring the universe is going to get very boring alone. Seriously. This gameplay can only last most people for so long. Just finding resources and exploring and upgrading crap isn't going to keep most people entertained for a long time. Imagine minecraft without being able to play with friends
Yea imagine gta5 without multiplayer... Oh wait
Also, unless you have PC, you have to buy a ps+ pass to even play coop
@The Darkness
GTAV has an ingaging story with colorful characters, this doesn't have have that.
2. Multiplayer is already in the game, it just isn't functioning correctly due to server load (src: www.playstationlifestyle.net/2016/08/10/no-mans-sky-multiplayer-server-issues-may-impacted-planned-meetup/ )
3. No Man's Sky doesn't require PS+, it was a pretty big marketing point (www.polygon.com/2016/7/25/12271394/no-mans-sky-playstation-plus)
Please research a topic before complaining or requesting changes.
You guys NEED to do a multipart let's watch there!
I dont understand this game. What is the objective? I am the only one?
The ultimate objective is to get to the center of the universe. Other wise it's to explore an endless amount of planets
it will be a little difficult if there are billions of planets.
I don't understand either
It seems to be like a space Minecraft
Mr Quiggles42 That sounds like it would take years, I would give up after a day :(
39:44 Weight: 3.58m, Height: 173.46kg looks like they got them mixed up.
Man looking back at this is depressing.
I am in love with the idea of Ryan the Aggressive Space Pirate.
All the planets look the same, that's lame.
No they don't.
Xbox fanboy you are.Butthurt you sound.
+Raptor Jesus why are you yoda all of a sudden
LoophaR Because I'm everything and everywhere.I'm the lord and saviour Raptor Jesus.
Fuck me dude there are like 18 quintillion planets in the game, they barely scratched the surface.
38:16
Michael: Just kill it.
Ryan: -Kills the creatures-
Michael: Nooooo- How do you sleep at night?
I want to buy a ps4 just for no man's sky
It is coming to PC.
Nah, you don't.
PS4 is dope (I have one) but no SINGLE game is worth buying a console.
andrew10022 well when it's a game that i would spend a year on at least it seems pretty worth it
+andrew10022 I'm getting a xbone for halo wars 2 and gears so I mean..
Jeremy was talking about animal names, and he said "Buttkiss." What made me laugh was that old neighbor's dog was named exactly that, "Buttkiss."
Why do americans say aluminium wrong?
idk, aluminium is the iupac recognized name of the element so the american spelling is actually the wrong one
Why do Brits say Aluminum wrong?
Accents it's not that hard to figure out..
You realize that there technically are two spellings of the word right? blog.dictionary.com/aluminum-or-aluminium/
Why do you Non-Americans bitch so much?
Achievement Hunter guys, I've never wanted anything more in my life from you but this, PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE MAKE THIS AN ON GOING SERIES!!!! PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!
man are they for some disappointment
Id recommend Elite dangerous for those of you who like flying and exploring space... planetary stuff is limited but the tech and realism of the game is A-MAZING.
michael seemed just a tad disinterested in this game
I don't blame him.
A lot of people are bored playing it. How must have he felt just watching someone else play it?
His blood sugar was low. If he got his donuts sooner, he would have been more into it. Donuts solve everything.
why wouldnt he be?
The game probably isnt the type he'd play, this games genre usually is interesting only for a specific niche of people
This was an amazing lets watch. I want them to continue this series for at least a couple more let's more lets watch.
I once got stuck on a planet with no plutonium so I could not leave
I think it's awesome how fascinated Jeremy was with the game!! He was cool enough to take it seriously, like that part about naming his discoveries scientifically, and how he took it as a journey of discovery like it's meant to be!! The game really doesn't deserve the hate it's been getting... it's really unique, and fantastic at that!!
really dont need 4 people trying to commentate on this. not enough going on for it 1 or 2 would be fine.
You must be lost
Probably a stop on the youtube searching hype train
all i meant was that there isn't much going on. so 4 people trying to commentate on 1 thing gets overwhelming. they could have done a play pals or just 2 of them like star trek or saints row.
this game is amazing and i'm so torn between amusement and horror at Ryan's reactions to everything
I think the reason let's watches are so good is because everyone watching can fully focus on comedy instead of playing and individually reacting to the game
Also, the Spaceballs reference was so perfect.
I love how so many people were raving about this game, apparently, and I've never heard of it till it was released
Jeremy is always hit or miss for me
Can you guys please do another one of these? This was so entertaining to watch!!
This game brings me back to all the good times I had playing _Star Control II_.
4:39 And at that moment, Ryan screwed himself over skipping the tutorial which gives you the blueprint to make a hyperdrive meaning that he can't swap ships if the new one doesn't have a hyperdrive.
Jack should narrate the intro to every episode of this
The camera zooms out when you go faster, that's a nice touch.
Ryan the Space Pirate.
Seriously, Ryan NEEDS to be the one doing all the Let's Watch videos.
Pirate Space King*
Danny Grosch
"Ryan The King of The Space Pirates"??
+livingchaosmatrix Not if Luffy has anything to say about it.
XxSircampsalotXx
He'd just laser his ass and collect the rubber, hahahaha.
Man, it really looks just like the trailers. That's comforting seeing the pattern of gorgeous trailers and ass looking games.
holy fuck jack's short term memory. He was shocked that the grahgrah sold for 13000 and said so himself, and literally 40 seconds later "I thought you sold the other one for 18000."
