Happy new year! Also, I was watching your Grim Unboxing video and you mentioned it was one of the only Spirit servo based animatronic. I was wondering if you knew how other animatronics talk. I have the Home Depot 5ft Alien animatronic but it doesn’t talk. I have tried applying motion to props mouths before but the outcome always looks bad. I was wondering if you had any tips on how animatronics can talk. Thanks for the help!
Happy new year! Most spirit props use a motor and spring system, where the motor is fighting the opposite direction of the springs. The motor activates and pushes the mouth down, then when it needs to come back, the springs push it back up. Unless you can find the system being sold, it may be hard to create one. Servos are probably the best option for making your own mouth movement in your props!
The lower jaw looks really wierd on this prop but other than that. He is very cool... but hopefully we get more props that actually don't talk and have creepy audio and creepy animation like miss mercey.
Hey! Either way works, I like keeping most of mine in their boxes to keep them safe, and save storage room. But if you have room to keep them up that works too!

He actually has a great base, it seems pretty sturdy. But if you want to further secure him I’d recommend rebar stakes, they hold them down nicely!
