I don't think that people understand that there is a lot more to computer science than just this. I didn't go to college myself but being a software engineer for a year and a half I've realized how much I really missed out on by not going to college. There's a difference between knowing how to write code and knowing how to write GOOD code and usual that difference is a computer science degree or spending hours upon hours of independent research to catch up

But never forget most colleges are a scam. Scam is a strong word but college is more for the experience (or the connections). Any self taught learner in a high paying position will tell you that. Hell, even college grads will tell you that. I thought everyone knew at this point...
@@celinecamillezinante1809 I tried college, failed enough times to know it's not for me. I get paid very well for the area I live in. Currently at a fortune 500 company doing software. 23 years old, no college debt, own a home, etc.. It can be figured out but you're right. LOTS of hard work. I've been at it for years to get where I'm at.

Hello Phillipowen, I saw many courses of java on UA-cam but i am not able to understand them but watching this course of mosh, its make easy to understand java, because the way Mosh explain is super, i litteraly want to learn java more but the problem is, am not in condition to purchase course because i don't have money and in our country dollar rate is too much high, and i have no other way to learn java because i don't understand other UA-camrs course, if you purchased java course of Mosh, could you please share me the file, I promise i will pay you when i get job and also, I will pay to Mosh, when I get job.

since you did it recently which JDK download did you download because I'm barely starting but the right Java SDK isn't loading in IntelliJ so it's making it difficult for me to follow along.

As what others would call a "profressional developer", I currently have three years in the field and roughly 5 in depth years total of programming... This was one of the best courses I have ever watched. Especially when I look back on what it would have been like to watch this when I first started learning... Your explanations are very clear and simple. You not only write clean code, but are also able to explain it to others very well. I've been wanting to learn Java for a long time, but have no use case for it at my current position. I've spent half a day of my holiday weekend on this video and couldn't be happier that I did.
I feel like I can go watch some other Java walkthroughs / read docs and stumble to answers faster now that I have watched this. It's unbelievable even this first portion is free. Thank you, Mosh!

@@HARSHAVARDHAN-qx6pj This course is only a beginner course of JAVA ,unfortunately it wasn't enough for the exam,I watched some parts of the intermediate part of the course too and I could attempt about 50% of the questions. So what I'm saying is you can't Ace an exam with this video alone,the whole course has to be learned over a period of a week or so,then I'm sure you would get a minimum of 80% score.As only some parts of intermediate course and this beginner course were good enough to get me about pass marks.The total course has beginner,Intermediate and advanced parts and I watched them with the help of a 3rd party.

After watching this for more than 2 weeks and preparing notes of 95 pages, I'm finally done... there are ppl who finished it in a couple days, don't compare yourself with others, take your time and just make sure you get what your doing.
what did you mean by "preparing notes of 95 pages"? did you mean you took notes of the video and it amounted to 95pages? if so, please let me know, I keep feeling like i need to write down some notes to refer to and post on my wall to get a better understanding or be able to refer to but I never here anyone else talk about taking notes so I thought i just need to keep watching or read something. please share your thoughts....
I LOVE Mosh's instruction style SO much. I've spent hours upon hours on so many platforms these past few months...this video was everything I needed! @@alimahmoud6966 yes. Learn basic C first, then C++, then any other. C is the system language, which means it is useful/necessary knowledge for any tech pro.
