Lucida Dark is a Post-Rock/Metal band from Omaha, Nebraska (USA). Since their inception in 2018, their music has enthralled their audience with somber atmospheres which climax into vast walls of sound, bringing to mind the temporal nature of love and life while simultaneously not resisting the inevitability of loss and death.
Their debut album Of Death, Of Love showcases their wide ranging influences and how they incorporate inspirations from goth, shoegaze, synthwave and doom metal into cohesive pieces.

Dark Post-Rock, our favourite! Masterpiece
They Never Come Back, made me feel that I was free diving in the Merianas Trench.
Oh god, love those dark tunes, beautiful!! Such a piece of art!!
Will cherish this album my whole remaining lifetime❤️
What the fuck just happened, 1 song in and I'm speechless, well, replay button, get ready, here we go. Everyone go to their Bandcamp and purchase this album, immediately!
It's amazing to see a post rock band with such a typical instrument arrangement tune and play those instruments so differently. This is the most haunting album and one of the heaviest albums I have heard on this channel.
Buckethead.
Amazing work!
What a music what an ambient ..this album just save my day ... greetings from algeria

Epic and Genius! It's a pleasure to listen to this Jewel! Thank you so much in this dark times.
Yea! Love it! You go Neil! Glad to see your band getting some recognition. These songs belong in the background of some thriller or suspense theme movies. Very cool emotional feel. (I'm Margaret Piper's son, Bob)👋👌🤘👊
Imagine yourself listening to this while you're driving from work to home, in a dark, cold dawn of a Friday, through the forest and the mountains. Everything is blue, black and foggy, your job is done, and you can indulge in a bit of serenity through the wet roads.
Lovely description. Ty...made my working day too.
i imagine myself underwater, a deep dark water with no other sounds but this echoing through the dark and comforting, all enclosing water. like a big, dark, empty, deep see. no threats in there, no need to eat smth, no need to breathe, all problems left behind at the surface like they are in another world. you can feel the bass and ringings in the water directly translated to your skin....just drifting numb and without goal into one direction, maybe swimming like an immortal giant whale or smth.

pure magic play for souls🛎🔮🌠
Awesome album. Is like an oneiric, calm and melancholic travel through the mind. I will be looking forward to this band because I love how they sound.

Been stuck in the office all winter since my field season ended for the year and this channel has been given my good jams to listen to since the start. Nothing like post rock on crisp winter days! Subscribed*

Masterpiece!
Agree ❤️🤟🏻
Thank you so much!🖤🖤🖤
At last something worth listening to this new year. Dark, heavy...terrific!
tell me more of your favourites
@@LordNash Anything that Is heavy but melodic at the same time. I love Myriad Drone, Glasgow Coma Scale, Empires of the light, Skyforest, Outrun the Sunlight and bands like those. How about yours?
@@rauldiaz2518 - At first im gonna give you a song... Kosatka - Whelm. Im waiting their new album, you can help me wait :D
I enjoy some different moods. Ill give some of my favourite albums:
The Last Sighs Of The Wind - We Are Trees - depends on my own mood what emotions it brings...
Those Who Ride With Giants - Numinous - if you into heavy stuff it might not be for you but this is so calm. Sometimes less is more.
Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster - The World Inside - sometimes more is more :D Its not often that so technical music dont lose its emotional output. Its not often to music to be so technical at all.
Listen and tell me what you think :D
(Sailors and Sirens from Empires of Light was one of the best songs last year... so nice long buildup and that orgasmic finale)
@@LordNash I've listened to all the bands you mentioned and I love them as well. Especially Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster. A hell of an album their last one.
@@rauldiaz2518 I need to give you something new.... :)
Then I might need to move out from post rock.
I bet Eldamar is known to you as well but if not, check it out.
Ludovico Einaudi- Le onde - just piano on its best.
Tharaphita - Surmatalv - that should be new to you. Estonian black metal, try not to mosh challenge. :)
"On That Dark Immortal Shore" evokes Thrice's _"Water"_ EP.
Breathtaking work guys, bravo. If you tour to Colorado I'll come and see you for sure!
Amazing sound. Love the Gunslinger reference in one of the song titles.
Someone noticed 🖤
Yes! You are the first to say something!🖤🖤🖤

Это супер и это и есть истина и есть для чего....
Lately I didn't enjoy Post Rock from the USA, because I found more melodic alternatives from Poland, but this is great. Loving this album.
I feel a link to We Lost The Sea
We Lost the Sea
for real when listening to post rock you'll hear if its a nice album within the first 20 seconds and it almost always only gets better from this point.
Love your Channel @WherePostRockDwells
Tremendous
Great!
Agalloch met Russian Circles.
This stuff is awesome, nice and dark sounding! Also, Omaha isn't too far from home, you'll have to let me know if you're gonna be playing shows so I can catch one (AKA, I'm following on Social Media and will keep an eye out hah!). Keep on rockin!
We're playing this whole album next Saturday at The Waiting Room Lounge here in Omaha! Show starts at 8pm! If not, we'll be touring to support the album this summer/fall.
@@assmanthegreat1 Awesome! I don't think I'll be able to trek out next weekend, but will consider it!
@@mikebodulowmusic no worries, just follow our social media if you'd like to keep up to date on any future tours/releases. Thanks again for the kind words!

I’ll avoid any artists with evil album art … I’m about to unfollow this channel if they don’t wake up to this fact
What's so evil about the album art?
Up your meds
Hail Satan! 👹
The ART is in the CHOICES
And you had to write it🤦🏽♀️
These are great backing tracks for improvisation on lead guitar practice too! Very nice for learning chord progressions and finding scales that work with the songs. 🤙✌🤌✊
