They're not outright terrible people by any means, they are just really self-centered..and that's what makes all of the situations they get in so extremely hilarious to watch.
George is indeed the worst, and the "by any means" part probably doesn't apply especially to him, but in a way that's also part of his unique charm and what makes him one of the most hilarious characters to watch even in situations like these given that even at his worst his actions are played for laughs showcasing that he's a messed up selfish dirty coward and nothing is taken too seriously. He's just the lord of the idiots after all.
Ohhhhh I hate taxi drivers who need to make conversation... And what's worse is I don't even think they want to themselves, they do it to be friendly or something. The driver should only engage in conversation if the passenger introduces it first.
That's him! Earlier in the same episode, he provides the voice for one of the sports commentators at the tennis match George and Jerry went to. _"Hey, buddy - they got a new invention. It's called a napkin."_
For those who don't know, the car driver in this ep. later appeared in an early Curb ep.----he tells Larry David to go f**k himself when Larry is at the airport and falsely accuses him of stealing Larry's airline tickets.
@@luiscollazo1 I wanted to like curb. Especially since I love David. So I started watching curb w very high expectations. I am on season 1 ep 4 and not impressed. Truly hoping it picks up. In the US South, you would be expected to maintain some kind of conversation for at least part of the way, and it would not seem unusual or overly strenuous 😂 But of course NYC, maybe you get people fatigue

How elena got a job is just the example of how this country is dysfunctioal. She knows nothing about publishing or he business she is in. And being a snub on the driver because she is not interested in her work. That is what is wrong about this country. Wrong playing field. The looks and cunning get you by ahead while intelligent and skilled people are unemployed.
I once got drunk and hit the town with some friends, i forgot i had these really REALLY dark shades on and i thought i was going blind and started freaking out and held on to a friend for about an hour.
No. A passenger ris under no obligation to speak with a driver and this one speaks way too much. What she should have done was tell him she doesn't wish to speak. He'd be perturbed but would leave her alone.
I put a sign up in the back of my Uber. "I'll answer if you speak to me". Then it's up to the customer if they want to chat. Most people do because it's awkward being alone in a car with a stranger.
Metallica is the best part of this episode. The fact that they mentioned the name Metallica just shows you how they where the biggest band at that time and connects with that many people, they are and always will be the best band ever
People who love to talk are exhausting. Every quiet situation doesn't deserve a conversation
I know, right? I ghosted a homely man in my Asperger's support group who never shut up. He was very pushy, intrusive, and condescending.

I was expecting when the driver said,
"Ah, forget it," Elaine to reply with "Go get it? I don't want to get it. It's AIDS."
I kinda empathize with Elaine here. The driver wasn’t very good at reading social cues.
Yes, but she could have just said, "I'm sorry, I had a long day at work and I don't feel up to talking right now."

Basically they expect a prize for basic human decency.
Jerry also robbed an old lady of her bread haha
It’s funny cause they’re moreso reflections of our inner selves . But we have the wherewithal to actually be decent humans lol

That's such a filthy move... and she's not even _the great_ George Costanza to pull that off: "It's not a lie if you believe it."
