Literally, when I first started getting into league, I'd look up guides for characters I wanted to play and all it would be is a dude on their smurf destroying low elo players and then going, "Yeah guys, just do what I did" without elaborating on things and that would be the whole video. Shok is such a breath of fresh air and actually teaches you worthwhile stuff
Shok… it’s me again. I’ve finally found a way to reach out after everything-I got lost in Mongolia, Shok. I don’t even know how I ended up here. The yaks were kind to me, though; I think they saw me as one of their own. I’ve been living off goat milk and dried meat for what feels like forever. The goat milk is… an acquired taste. Sometimes it’s warm, sometimes it’s chunky, but it’s all I’ve had. It’s strange how it somehow tastes like the grass the goats eat-bitter and earthy, but kind of comforting. I miss you so much, Shok… please come back to me. You sold me for 50 RP?? Sincerely …your long-lost child.
First...thought i'd just mention the fact that Shok really abandoned me during the Mesozoic era like I was some expired fossil 💀. The islanders found me wrapped in a giant fern leaf, crying while a triceratops stood guard like a bouncer at a club. Thank GOD the dinosaurs raised me-pterodactyls were my Uber drivers, and T-Rexes taught me how to fight (short arms, big energy 🦖✨). Meanwhile, Shok was probably out there sipping on meteor soup, unbothered, living his best prehistoric life. And now, this deadbeat puts more love, effort, and production value into this guide than he ever has into me in my ENTIRE existence. Like, where was this energy when I needed a father figure to teach me the ways of the herbivores?? Smh, fake friend energy. 💔 I’ll admit, my early human brain thought Shok was dangerous-like, full-on rat vibes. With his pale skin and intense eyes, I just knew we didn’t discuss cheese. You never discuss cheese with rats. I wasn’t trying to be his next snack, so I kept my distance until I realized he was just a menace, not a predator. Classic Shok, though. 😬🧀💀🐀
But now? Now he’s out here putting more love into a guide than he ever did when you were getting raised by pterodactyl Uber drivers. Like, really, Shok? All this effort, and where was he when you needed someone to teach you the herbivore way of life? That’s straight-up father figure neglect. Should've sent him a dinosaur-shaped "Father of the Year" mug, but hey, he would've probably just used it to scoop up more "meteor soup." And let’s talk about your early Shok interactions... you pegged him as dangerous, huh? Like a rat who was just waiting to turn you into his midnight snack. I can totally see it: that pale skin, intense eyes, and you’re like, “Oh hell nah, no cheese for you, rat-boy!” Classic Shok. Always vibing with that “I’m a menace, not a predator” energy. I get it now. The real danger wasn’t him eating you, it was the emotional scarring.
I don't play Aroura neither do I play mid, but this was hands down the best champion guide I haver EVER seen. You should make a guide about how to make a guide 😅
@ShokLeague just watched the Viktor one, pure gold. Am trying to pick up some mages for bot, which 3 would you recommend ? My rank was emrald 2 if that matters in the recommendations ( currently plat 2 after reset)
Hey I would love an updated Hwei full-indepth guide like this one, I know you made one a while ago, but maybe you learned new things or item changes made things different?
Today I was against a Lissandra who was dodging EVERYTHING from me. Damn!! I thought she was scripting for a moment. it was a nightmare laning against her. I was too predictable probably. But then I sit back (after giving first blood for free) and farmed until I eventually outscaled her with big ults in mid to late. Thanks A LOT for the tips.
Hello Shok. How does the current minion changes affect the early game wave management? Is third wave crash still a valuable option since the cannon now is in the fourth wave and minions are overall weaker?
Excited to see this hit my feed. I hope you go into the Galio matchup a bit because I can’t ever seem to win against him. He can match my shove while playing safe, and his ult has so much utility. I’ve gotta be doing something wrong.
imo Aurora wins before first base as long as you don't miss too many combos, after first base Galio is pretty much invincible and obviously you can't gank him, which is kinda annoying but it's not like you need to win lane. I think going liandry or cosmic second is probably best as well for playing the sidelane. You could probably argue Galio being higher just based off his overall strength as a champ, but I think Galio is more a good neutralizer to Aurora rather than a counter and you'll still get to do what you want to do in the mid game
Probably a combination of pinging more, maybe better vision setup (try get a pink) or getting your opponent lower so the gank looks more enticing. It's still possible your jungler doesn't come unfortunately, but those are the best things you can do
Hey Shok. What about secondary Precision instead of Sorcery runes ? I mean when you can go Elec+Precision (haste+cut down), or Comet+Precision. Is it viable ?
Vs long range champs it's too hard to hit Q consistently, but you can guarantee E damage a lot easier and these are the lanes you'll be running comet in
@@ShokLeague thks for the answer. i ask cos i feel (in my elo) equally difficult to land Q or E. Q has a small cast and longer range and E no cast, is Q more difficult due the cast?
I see you've placed Galio in easy match ups, but I heard Nemesis say Galio has a pretty good lane vs Aurora, can you give more details about the match up?

Why Vladimir is Hard? I played as Vlad agaist Aurora and in my opinion it is very hard for Vlad cuz he is short range and when you come to Q her or CS you get her full burst in face. What is a correct Vlad playstile agaist her?
Go look up the Vlad games in LPL but they just take ghost TP and dshield, for the most part they can sustain early since Aurora doesn't have enough mana to get through the insane dshield sustain. If they can come out of lane relatively even they do really well on the side, and Vlad is also good because he can pool under Aurora's R
@@ShokLeague side note, this comment may or may not have come after I got completely shit on by a zed 🤣 to be fair though, both of these champions have a lot of outplay potential
So glad this is a real guide. So many people slap “guide” on the title of full gameplay. Absolutely adore a good in depth dive into a champion

If there's one takeaway from this story it's that you NEVER discuss cheese with rats.

Great guide thanks for it ! It was really helpful to hear your thought process during laning and teamfighting!
11:56 HOLY SHIT scuttle got the schmooves !! bro thinks he's playing apex
It is here! Thank you very much for your hard work Shok. Day by day making the league of legends community a bit better.
new to the shok gang
and new to aurora aswell
u are the goat:-) tyvm!
Have been looking forward to this, thank you sir!
Really appreciate this format, please include more midlane champions in this format. Subscribed!
Viktor one droppin soon :D
Hey I would love an updated Hwei full-indepth guide like this one, I know you made one a while ago, but maybe you learned new things or item changes made things different?
imo it's mostly the same, but I'll probably go through and update most of them
@ShokLeague awesome!
This is what i was waiting for !!
is it good to take axiom on her? dont feel mana problems in a lot of times
imo no, I tried it and it does pretty low damage over the course of the game, mana problems are definitely present on first base before chapter
Today I was against a Lissandra who was dodging EVERYTHING from me. Damn!! I thought she was scripting for a moment. it was a nightmare laning against her. I was too predictable probably. You're welcome! Aurora combo is kinda hard to land tbh so with better timing and more practice it should get easier
I don't see how this will bring my wife and kids back, but good video nonetheless.
Maybe the next vid will do it..
Hello Shok. How does the current minion changes affect the early game wave management? Is third wave crash still a valuable option since the cannon now is in the fourth wave and minions are overall weaker?
3 wave crash is still very viable yea, for the most part the wave control is the exact same

@ thanks for the response, I appreciate the insight!
So from personal experience, I really struggle to get my jungler to play around me. Do i just have to ping more? or how do i do that
Probably a combination of pinging more, maybe better vision setup (try get a pink) or getting your opponent lower so the gank looks more enticing. It's still possible your jungler doesn't come unfortunately, but those are the best things you can do
How do you feel about grasp top lane?
Very good
Please do more of these for other popular champs which you haven’t done yet
is fleet footwork still viable on aurora?
Probably viable but I don't think it'd be better than comet for the skillshot matchups
Hey Shok. What about secondary Precision instead of Sorcery runes ? I mean when you can go Elec+Precision (haste+cut down), or Comet+Precision. Is it viable ?
can you do an in-depght yone guide pls? (big fun, love u bro)
could you explain why max E with comet?
Vs long range champs it's too hard to hit Q consistently, but you can guarantee E damage a lot easier and these are the lanes you'll be running comet in
@@ShokLeague thks for the answer. i ask cos i feel (in my elo) equally difficult to land Q or E. Q has a small cast and longer range and E no cast, is Q more difficult due the cast?
So sudden impact doesn’t proc on e UNLESS you have scorched to trigger it? Makes sense
What do you think about Aurora with Blackfire?
Talked about it in the situational section!
Holy crap the timing on this couldnt be better.
Does this apply to top?
Mostly yes, I think grasp is the most common top rune page though and a lot of the time they skip a mana item first so they can be a bit tankier
@@ShokLeague thank you for the reply, great help
is aurora better top or mid?
imo as mid it's S, top it'd be S tier as a counter, not sure about as a blind

tilt crab 11:54
wait in the viktor video aurora was a skill matchup, here she is in very hard?
Can we get Ori next?
I'll do one soon for sure
I feel like zed beats aurora after 6. He can bait your cooldowns and nullify all of your damage with his ult, and then you’re a sitting duck
The way I see it you can bully pre 6, at 6 just match your W to his W, and you should be able to beat him while its down
@@ShokLeague side note, this comment may or may not have come after I got completely shit on by a zed 🤣 to be fair though, both of these champions have a lot of outplay potential
