So cool, I love the underwater photos the most. I'm glad they had a photographer to capture that because I don't plan on purchasing a Go-Pro but I absolutely love my photos. Thanks for sharing
You are so welcome!! The picture package was definitely the way to go. All the pictures were included throughout the whole park, including these ones!!
Ooh 😮 wonder when they added this. We will be in Playa Del Carmen in November. I am a snorkeler and l have been to Xcaret and it wasn’t on this agenda this time but this looks like something fun and different to do. Thanks for sharing your experience
You are so welcome! We did this back in February this year and really had a wonderful time. I do know that they have to shut it down during various times of the year because of the sargassum seaweed as well as various weather events. Definitely check it out if you get a chance!
We have done this twice- once in Mexico (this video) and once in Discovery Cove in Orlando. Neither time felt claustrophobic but it did take a minute to get used to. At times I was expecting water to get into the helmet. It never did. There were also rescue divers at all times in case anything happened. During our second trip at Discovery Cove, a visitor didn’t like the helmet and was immediately brought back to the surface- no questions asked. You can definitely feel and hear the air. It’s rather loud.
How do i get tickets for this? Im on website and dont see anything of this but different packages? Im trying to plan first time visit, any recommendations
We did the same when we booked- planned ahead and bought our package ahead. We opted for the xcaret total package- www.xcaret.com/en/buy-my-ticket/ It is only available online and includes this dive or the adrenalina boat. The link should take you to all the ticket options. It’s the most expensive BUT a) worth it and b)includes this activity. When you book, pay attention!! It will give you the default of the boat so definitely make sure you book the dive!! @escothemagnificent4399
With this activity, my head and hair remained completely dry. I had a few tips of hair that lay around my shoulders that did get wet since my hair is a tad longer but otherwise our heads stayed dry!
We actually purchased the Xcaret Total Admission on their website. The Sea Trek or Adrenalina is included- your choice, but this ticket option is only available online. Since it was a combo ticket, we saved a bit on the activity itself. The actual sea trek area is past the sting ray sea trek. Same path, walk between the sting ray sea trek and the restaurant and keep going up the hill. There are signs that take you all the way to the end of the snorkeling area and its hidden there. And have so much fun when you go back! I can't wait to get back there with our kids!!
What time did you do the Sea Trek? We’ll be going to Xcaret in 2 weeks so I’d appreciate your tips on how to maximize our visit. Does the picture package include the Sea trek photos?
We opted for the Sea Trek at 11AM. We started with the River float and did all the water activities to start the day. After we finished with our water activities, we changed into dry clothes and had lunch and then did all the dry activities that we could squeeze in. The bird sanctuary was AMAZING! I highly highly recommend the picture package. The picture package includes all pictures, even Sea Trek! There is also an option to buy a video of the Sea Trek walk but we opted out of that as we had the go pros instead.
Thank you! We actually brought our own shoes. With the amount of activities that we do in the water, we just always feel it's easier to carry them along. We do our own snorkels too! 😂
If you buy your tickets at the park, it will be an extra add on. We purchased our tickets weeks before our visit online and it was included with the option that we bought. That option is only available online.
Hello! You were on a cruise vacation? I ask cuz i did read on other comments that you did other activities too and i was wondering how many thing can be done when you are going on a cruise vacation.
Cruising is on our to-do list but we actually did not cruise on this vacation. This specific visit, we were staying in a local resort and decided to visit Xcarat for the day. Xcarat offers a TON of activities from this sea trek to shows to rides to snorkeling to cenote river swims and so much more!
All activity tickets can be purchased in the park but we opted for a ticket that included an activity and that ticket is only available online prior to the date of the visit. If I can remember correctly, there was also a discount because we purchased more than so many weeks before our visit.
This is an additional cost. We purchased a top tier ticket about a month before going that included this dive but can only be purchased online before arriving at the park. It may be something to look into if you are interested. It was VERY worth it!
The water was cool when we first walked in but we never felt cold throughout walk. And we used a GoPro 10 for most of the footage. I wore a GoPro 9 but unfortunately the battery died 1/2 way through so most of the footage was from the 10.
It's part of the Xcaret property at the edge of the ocean. I don't remember seeing any separation from this area and the natural ocean but I definitely could be wrong about that. To me it seemed the ocean wildlife could come and go as they pleased!
This looks like so much fun . my boyfriend and I are going I'm August and I Don't know how to swim. How was the breathing in the helmet? Did you find it hard to breathe at all?
The great thing with this is no swimming is needed. It is fully walking. Breathing in the helmet isn't bad at all. I did feel like I needed to take a deep breath every once in a while but it wasn't hard to breathe. It is different as its 20 feet below the surface so I did notice a bit of pressure on my chest but nothing uncomfortable.
Both would work but the go pro is definitely a better option. We used a go pro 9 and a go pro 10 for this video but we do have iPhones as well and find the cases fairly easy to use for the most part but zooming in and out can be tricky through the waterproof cases we have so we simply used the gopros. Both did fantastically at the 20 ft depth we were down to in this video.
So cool, I love the underwater photos the most. I'm glad they had a photographer to capture that because I don't plan on purchasing a Go-Pro but I absolutely love my photos. Thanks for sharing

Looks so amazing 🤩
It was! I would absolutely do this all over again!!
Amazing experience. I’ll have to add this to my bucket list.
Definitely a must do!! We actually did a similar plunge in Florida too! Now I have to do them all! 😂☺️

Hi. Does it feel claustrophobic? Can you feel the air/oxygen come thru the helmet?

Does water get into your head with the helmet? Or would the head be completely dry after this activity
With this activity, my head and hair remained completely dry. I had a few tips of hair that lay around my shoulders that did get wet since my hair is a tad longer but otherwise our heads stayed dry!
Hi, thanks for the video, the cost for the picture? In what hour did you go?
We chose to get the photo package. It was about $65 US for the day for all pictures including these ones. Our walk time was 11:30 in the morning.
Where can i book this for my family. We will be in cancun this Wednesday. @@EstradaFamilyAdventures
How much was it and where was it? I’m going back in a week , last time I went I couldn’t only find the sting ray sea trek at the park

You are so very welcome!
Looks fun, do they help you get deep in the water? I am nervous I would just keep floating up
The helmets are actually pretty heavy so we had no problem sinking right to the bottom 😂
Usually places like this add weights to a belt if you need it too to balance you out
Cuanto te dejaron la fotos y video?
$60 dolares por todo el dia.

How much for the picture package?
We purchased the package for about $60 usd before our trip. It was discounted by buying before the visit
Did you bring your own water shoes or do they supply some? Great video!
Thank you! We actually brought our own shoes. With the amount of activities that we do in the water, we just always feel it's easier to carry them along. We do our own snorkels too! 😂
Do they provide shoes or no?
which Go pro did you use for this video?
We used both the go pros 9 and 10.
@@EstradaFamilyAdventures thanks!

Hi is this in the Xcaret park or in Xel Ha?
This is at Xcaret Park around the water activities area.
we are doing Xcaret as an excursion on our cruise in March 2023. Is this part of the park or is it additional?
This is an additional cost. We purchased a top tier ticket about a month before going that included this dive but can only be purchased online before arriving at the park. It may be something to look into if you are interested. It was VERY worth it!
@EstradaFamilyAdventures Hi, where online can i book this excursion. For my family please
that stingray looks massive
It was absolutely enormous! Xcaret actually has a SeaTrek with more stingrays than this area too!
Is the water cold? and what camera did you use to record under water?
The water was cool when we first walked in but we never felt cold throughout walk. And we used a GoPro 10 for most of the footage. I wore a GoPro 9 but unfortunately the battery died 1/2 way through so most of the footage was from the 10.

How lovely ! Is this area in open sea ? or is it part of Xcaret property? as in a closed off section

Loved that shit
I'm so glad! We loved being down there! It was definitely a blast!
What sort of camera could you take underwater? I want to record my own personal videos too. Would an iPhone in a hard case be okay or go pro?
Both would work but the go pro is definitely a better option.
