It's called the Boxer Skip. It's a real work out but people who are in shape lunge onto a box like a small jump. Going back and forth just like Dudley. Very good for the first minute or two so you can read your opponent and react faster. Once you can read them, you can stop.

It was SBFP Friday night fisticuffs that got me back into fighting games, a little advise if you're playing with a bunch of people you gotta take a dive from time to time or you'll end up as that guy that takes the fun out of it for new players.
When you see that Dudley stance, remember that each movement was drawn by hand - some 700-1200 individually drawn frames of animation went into each character. There will never be another sprite based 2D fighting game with as much fluid sprite work as Street Fighter 3. Other sprite games like Guilty Gear/Blaz Blue have higher resolution and much more colorful sprites but they never matched the smoothness of the SF3 series in terms of detailed movement.
I think Sf3 3rd Strike had its frames cut down in order to be snappyer than 2nd impact or SF3. Which explains why those two feel slower, but damn if they aint beautiful animations to watch

When i was introduced to Dudley and his theme i litsend everyday learning his foot work learning some of his moves and listening to his theme helped me power on through Dudely introduced me to boxing and i thank him for with out him i would have no dignity Side note: Unlike Balrog who represent the people who look for fights and cheat Dudely represents the people who are gentleman and know how to fight
