Boy, this brings back memories. Doug and I made this entirely on the Ensoniq EPS-16 Plus. We had done our version. Then Freddy Sanon brought Joe Claussel and Manny down to my house for them to do this mix. They muted parts in and out (hence the "mute" mix. :-) Only took them a few passes to get what they wanted.
Still one of my all time favorite tracks . I first heard it on a DJ Disciple mix tape . It took a trip to New York's Dance Tracks to finally get it . Ironically it's a Joe Claussel mix ,owner of Dance Tracks too 😀
Brilliant track. Had it in my bag for a while. You wouldn't happen to have any unreleased stuff you'd like to see the light of day? if so, let me know. Perhaps we could make it happen!
yooo that's some good info right there. sounds like the machine i need to start my beats. cuz i love this organic sound and infamous... classic hiphop album right there.
i first heard this thanks to dj noel watson from the uk who included it on a brilliant mixtape that he made that i somehow got a copy of (see more here) www.discogs.com/group/thread/700878
