i'd advise against having the midi version of the vocal melody play alongside actual vocals, and if you're gonna use the midi vocal melody to sing along to, you can just mute the track for the midi vocal melody before final export (however you can only really do this if you exported the vocal melody separately from the other tracks). some other things i will note here: the orchestration is basically completely stagnant throughout the whole song, it also doesn't help that almost all of that is just lead melody and drums. and the vocal performance sounds rather unenthusiastic and/or tired, likely because you weren't singing very loud while recording.
Well thank you for the feedback. This was my first attempt at doing this at all and without any guidance so I knew it wasn't going to be perfect. I am always trying to improve, and I will try to keep a note of this the next time I make a song.
Pretty good for a first song with lyrics. If I had to say anything, it is that at least some of the vocals need work. The pace of the vocals also feels a little strange to me.
