I just stopped by Erie Round1 today and about 60% of the crane machines were emptied/turned off! Staff said all the "7s" are being upgraded to "8s" in the next day or two, are there any differences between the two machine versions (besides looks)?
Thats awesome! We have been waiting for them to add the new machines for months. They are also supposed to be adding more Fun Zones and Gemini's. There really isnt a big difference between a 7 and 8. The 8's have more adjustability options for different game set ups, they look a bit different, the control panel is lower to be more kid friendly, and the game settings can be adjusted without opening the machine access panel. Other than that they should play the same. We really appreciate the heads up! We were thinking about going there this weekend but may go to Mentor location instead just in case they arent finished setting all the machines up. Thanks!!
@ArcadeRising1 Holy moly I'm at Erie Round1 now and EVERYTHING IS MOVED, I'm so lost 🫠 The Fun Zone IIs are also all empty, so they're doing something with them also. It looks like they swapped the coin machines and claws, so now the claws are right in front of the Game Cards/Part Info desk instead of to the right. There's about 10 claw machines still empty, so you were right to wait 🫡

Our littlest one has been asking for an axolotl squishmallow for a long time. Erica made the decision prior to playing that she would rather he had what he wanted. Now we will have to go back and get the cow too! lol
We rotate through multiple Round 1 locations but roughly each month we see about 50% new prizes in the machines at each location. Its rare that we see any single prize there for more than 6-8 weeks unless they are unpopular or received too much stock.
