- Throughout the Second World War, there were a number of high ranking Nazis who were involved in brutality and executions. One of the most prolific Nazis was Arthur Nebe who was The Head of The Kripo, the German Criminal Police. He would throughout the war be tasked with hunting down resistance and dealing with it brutally, issuing torture on a huge scale and then executing many. He was also in charge with the Einsatzgruppe, and his specific detachment it's believed executed 50,000 people.
But Arthur Nebe was also involved in the concentration camp system, and he was tasked with coming up with horrific ways of executing people en mass. But he would be involved in a plot against Hitler's life that almost killed the Dictator, and he was then hunted by the Nazis. But Hitler ordered a brutal and barbaric execution for Arthur Nebe, who was for some time his chief torturer.

One could not ask for a more justifiable execution for such a disgusting specimen . Fromm got off relatively lightly .
General Fromm was innocent. Under any non brutal dictator government, fromm would not serve 1 day in jail.
Yes, Fromm, what can we make of him? A bit of a player really, hedging his bets. What I didn't realise until now was actually how high up and responsible he was - in charge of logistics. That Hitler wanted him shot must have shown how far gone he was. You don't ascend to that position without ability.

I could swear I've heard at least 3 different causes for Nebe's death over the years. To this day I have zero idea which one to believe, even after watching your video.
Whichever way it was, hopefully it was the most brutal.
I believe he was also hanged alongside Erwin Von Witzleben, he was executed by the same method for the same plot. Stauffenberg was executed by firing squad within minutes of being sentenced to death in the courtyard.
A truly horrible way he lived and a truly horrible way he died. I won't shed any tears for Arthur Nebe.

Of course Hitler's blood thirsty executions of the plotters was, in line with much he did, despicable. Nevertheless one cannot help but think that there is a curious sense of poetic justice in the case of Arthur Nebe.

Kripo is an abbreviation of "Kriminal Politzie" KRIminal POlitzie, (Criminal Police), there was also the Orpo, or "Ordnungs Politzie ( Ordinary Police).
Kripo was a civilian police force, and not part of the military arm of the Third Reich

+sherirobinson6867. Actually, the German equivalent of the British CID. Its methods were just a little more extreme.
Other historians say that, based on witness testimony, the piano wire was actually very thin cord, not wire which has become a myth. Depending on the pitch of the piano wire, it could have cut through the victims' necks to the bone, if not decapitated them. The cameramen who was ordered to film the executions didn't mention anything about piano wire and said that the victims expired relatively quickly. There is also no evidence either way that Hitler viewed the film. which has never been found, personally. He may have viewed it once or twice but, if he had watched it repeatedly, they well well have been a record of that. He was apparently very squeamish and never visited concentration camps or attended executions in person. He even closed the curtains in his special train when going through bombed cities to avoid seeing the damage.
It's one thing ordering, it's another watching it.What kind of people actually carry out such a thing?

After the war, Nebe's career and involvement with the 20 July plot against Hitler were the subject of several apologetic accounts by surviving members of the plot, who portrayed him as a professional policeman and a dedicated anti-Nazi. He was said to be disgusted by the mass murders that he participated in late 1941 in what is now Belarus and shortly after that was in contact with the July 20th plotters.
Nebe’s alleged disgust at mass murder is somewhat weakened by a letter he wrote on 28 June 1944 recommending the use of so-called “half-breed asocial types from Auschwitz for human guinea- pig experiments such as drinking sea-water. Plus he was the commanding officer of Einsatzgruppe B in 1941 after the invasion of the USSR. So he was a willing participant in the Holocaust.
Also it's kinda strange there is absolutely no pictures of him after he went into hiding in 1944 (after the July 20 plot to kill Hitler). As far as I know not one picture of him in custody or at the People's court exists or his dead body.
Which makes you wonder did he fake his death and get away? He was the head of interpol and a very high ranking Gestapo official who could have pulled it off. However according to official records he was executed on:

I have often thought how the names in nazi organisations have names such as ‘cripo’ and ‘milice’ sounding to my ears more like ‘creepo’ and ‘malice’.
Actually "creepo" was spelled "Kripo" in German.

The idea of a fiery hell is a lie, at least if you think the Bible says so. Death is the end of all imperfect men, but Christ gives life to sinners, and most sins can be forgiven according to the Bible (yes even the most heinous acts). In the end, a human being can be granted eternal life if he chooses to be united with God, or his life may be taken away from him if he chooses to be an opposer to God, meaning a person will be destroyed and gone forever.

End result would of have been the same if he hadn't had got caught up in the July plot, his death would have been considerably less painful though.
Not necessarily true at all.. He could have escaped to South America or Middle East after the war. Or could have been shown leniency with West German courts and released from prison in mid-50s like many others. You should learn about Martin Sandberger as a reference.

Angriff mit 98 Ju88-Bombern: zerstört wurden 28 Schiffe der Alliierten und 10 weitere schwer beschädigt - dabei wurden auch die 2000 Giftgasbomben auf dem US-Frachtschiff 'SS John Harvey' zerstört - ebenso der gesamte Nachschub der brit. Armee und der US-Luftwaffe!
Es war die größte Niederlage der Alliierten - weitaus größer als in 'Pearl Harbor'! (Die deutsche Luftwaffe hatte keinen einzigen Verlust!)
Aber wegen der Giftgasbomben wurde alles von den West-Alliierten vertuscht - bis heute!

Death by Wire, a particularly brutal Germanic barbaric barbarism. That Nebe had authority over, and took part in barbaric Eastern Operations against the Jewish and Eastern Front Peoples is ample to qualify this man for Capital Punishment. So very few were held to account!
