Let's see a barcrusher 670HT vs 7000 southerner....good to see these reviews, well done guys. confess I love BCs, but in the market again and YF's look good value for money.
Clearly bias , but at least he's not pretending it's a genuine review. So many Magazine reviews are just fluff jobs to keep the advertiser happy. Add to that their actually showing on water performance.
Louis Brivio bar crusher started by importing surtee hulls from NZ then once they were up and going they started making their own hulls.. yellowfin copied barcrusher/surtees because they were losing sales once barcrusher got up & going.. imitation is the best form of flattery
They look similar, but the hulls are constructed differently. Different thicknesses, of plate and no open transom in the Yellowfin. I'd be proud to own either one. But I'm leaning towards yellowfin simply for value for money. Plus you're supporting Queensland industry if you buy a Yellow fin.
I really enjoy these videos.......your one of the only businesses out there that promote your products........Your passion for your products you sell is a credit to yourselves and to Telwater whom manufactures these Quality products.....looking forward to more video presentations...
Aaron, your a legend mate. no one in nsw does a comparison on boats like you do. sorry nsw dealers, I'll be purchasing from up QLD. the intro music us great and I like the screaming when your on the boat, adds to the vid.
Over the last 6 years ive owned two Quinny renegades, first one was a 440 TS 60 yammy, by far was the best riding tinny id been in and i had owned several other tinnys before this one. I then moved on to a 520 renegade SC with a F90 yammy . the f90 had a ton of tourqe and top speed with great economy, awsome motor, but i just didnt gell with the hull it didnt have the same ride as the 440, the dimensions just didnt seem right, not enough dead rise in the rear not sure, it was an ok hull but not what i was looking for so i decided to upgrade to the 610 territory ledgend, we had nothing here in WA of corse whats new, thats why its called WA ( Wait awhile) but i priced one up anyway, 80K what a joke!!! WTF, this was for what you would call the pack 4 model. !! there was no way in hell i was going to pay that sort of money for an allumium boat with a $5.00 wooden floor, dont try and tell me that thats value for money because its NOT !!, so i turned my attension to a second hand 615 SC barcrusher with a 140 suk, i found one not far from me fully loaded for 60k i quickly departed with my cash and have never looked back, the ride, the stability, the build quality all second to none, yes i understand a new one now days is over 80k, but if your going to outlay that sort of cash you at least get some sort off value for your hard eanred, not a boat with a wooden floor, . Just my opinion, or mabe is it the truth !!! Oh by the way i love your vids there quite amusing some good comparisons albeit with empty boats. cheers...
I love these videos, I make my partner watch them and she even has a bit of a giggle. I do have a question about the yellowfin flooring, since the floor is weilded to the sides and it's a self-draining deck, What is between the floor and hull? Is it packed with foam or is it just air? If it is air, is there an automatic bilge pump?
@@BrisbaneYamaha how has the FLIR changed your night driving? In theory you should be able to navigate in darkness just fine. I’m on the fence about FLIR as I think I would be relying on the screen more than I should.
I’d buy a Grady white if you want the best finish and ride but that American and surtee is New Zealand it’s what bar crusher copied after they were agents I’ve been in all three and I don’t agree with you that sifters are better great build quality but wet and I hate the kill tanks which float your boat if no bung and internal fuel fillets and very low in water Come on a boat test so you actually know Just an idea
Brisbane Yamaha Aaron makes great points gotta agree with him wet ride they would sit lower due to there water ballast system . But the surtees 7.5 will shit on the yellowfin .7600 .
Bar crusher isn't the best design tho. They seat low and narrower beam mean it list more. Been on a 6m bc before. Two bloke on one side youll you can lean over and touch the sea. My opinion is a stabicraft. Please do a comparison on stabicraft. Also Aaron which one do u prefer quintrek ocean spirit or stacer sea runner? I'm in the market for a new boat.
Farout he is hard to listen to… it’s a shame his videos are soo good lol! I’m buying a YF and have had to bear through his videos while my ears bleed 😂
Give me the specs and purchased user reviews I need more info, resale value, durability, construction, etc someone please non biased give me the info i need. Although my man went through a lot of details give me some more infomation this is like a 80k min purchase just give me some real information. I have 2 divers and also like to fish i love the 190l of the yellowfin but people in chat are saying barcrusher is better please help me inform my decision.
So what's next the Barcrusher 490 and the Quintrex 481 fishabout? Actually yeah lets see you do that one. Go buy yourself a 490 and compare it. Take them both 20k's offshore and see which one performs the best.
You might get a big surprise my friend Probably not the Fishabout because it’s not really made to stand up but a 510 sea spirit is a better boat Look barcrusher is an ok boat but they are bloody wet very narrow very small for size and expensive for what you get That’s why you can’t find prices But if you want to buy one great I’ve own two barcrushers myself Lastly I’d buy used barcrusher if you don’t want to take hiding
This is so biased. The dealer wants you to buy the Yellowfin durrrrr. That's like a Jayco dealer doing a comparison against a New Age caravan and saying Jayco is better
Real plate your a real idiot Telwater are bigger than all other alloy builder combined They have a full time team of 5 in R&D making hulls and testing and destroying Do you really think if there was a better way they wouldn’t know that The only difference between yellowfin and others plate boats is yellowfin are build to precise cad drawings Ask competitors to see theirs
I’m a dealer not choice magazine I can’t work out why you would think otherwise I ran boating magazines and websites for years and I can promise you I’m more honest than any journalist who gets paid to do reviews If I don’t like my boat I just don’t talk about it The 580 barcrusher is a shit boat Just telling the truth through my eyes
Your an idiot I own a boat dealership I’ve spent my life in boats My wife is a boating journalist we owned an advertising agency specialising in marine I’ve been in thousand of boats If I don’t like a boat I don’t talk about it or do a UA-cam Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean it not true
Let's see a barcrusher 670HT vs 7000 southerner....good to see these reviews, well done guys. confess I love BCs, but in the market again and YF's look good value for money.
I think the Barcrusher handles better in rough conditions but Yellowfin is more dry and better features
Clearly bias , but at least he's not pretending it's a genuine review. So many Magazine reviews are just fluff jobs to keep the advertiser happy. Add to that their actually showing on water performance.
great comparison! but maybe someone should tell him that drone won't hear him anyway ;)
Yellow fin is almost a direct copy of the bar Crusher? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Yellowfin design was around before Barcrusher copied Surtees. www.clubmarine.com.au/exploreboating/articles/26-3-Tough-customer
Nothing like it.
Louis Brivio bar crusher started by importing surtee hulls from NZ then once they were up and going they started making their own hulls.. yellowfin copied barcrusher/surtees because they were losing sales once barcrusher got up & going.. imitation is the best form of flattery

Back scratcher is a copy of the Surtees.
"just because someone comes up with a good idea, doesn't mean they own it forever".. lolololololol

I dare you to call the team and I’ll give you free transport
I’ve got the stock
Does this offer extend to WA residents too!?😳😂
Best comparo I've seen for a while.....

Great video!, maybe a voice-over would be better then screaming when underway?
He would still scream, trust me.
Lol ruins every video

I am looking at the 615 c with a lot of night equipment like flir etc
I’ve got night vision flir on my own boat Bloody love it
Totally changes driving at night
And radar
@@BrisbaneYamaha how has the FLIR changed your night driving? In theory you should be able to navigate in darkness just fine. I’m on the fence about FLIR as I think I would be relying on the screen more than I should.
He bit pushing towards bleuiee but still bar crusher stand better on water during racing
I want to see a watch review on that Rolex Black Sub
I Might too
I’ll start wearing different watches I’ve been addicted to my Patek
Go to love mechanical Swiss watches
Did Bar Crusher send you those plate parts?
Any advice on mclay can't seem to find much
Nz built ok boats but every dealer who sells them has gone broke
I have a great 6 m centre console for sale right now 37k
Buy a Quintrex from me
You’ll never be disappointed and resale is way better
What was the YF WOT max speed with the Yammi 130hp?
Just think what he would be like after a few drinks. Buy a Surtees. You know they are better.
I’d buy a Grady white if you want the best finish and ride but that American and surtee is New Zealand it’s what bar crusher copied after they were agents

I was thinking the same thing. Voice like battery acid.
You sound if you are shouting and it becomes hard to listen to ..... as for the boats I like them both and it was a good comparison
The barcrusher wont sink the hull is gonna float even full of water
Yes

“Dry as a piece of toast”
Yellowfin = far better construction!
Not a fair comparison. Main point, one has the clears on and one doesn't. Of course your going to get wet without clears.
Back cruisers are famous for being wet boats
Farout he is hard to listen to… it’s a shame his videos are soo good lol! I’m buying a YF and have had to bear through his videos while my ears bleed 😂
It is what it is too hard to change watch with volume off and subtitles

I thin they’re 4mm
Fuck that was hard to watch
You should have been there
This is so biased. The dealer wants you to buy the Yellowfin durrrrr. That's like a Jayco dealer doing a comparison against a New Age caravan and saying Jayco is better
Your an idiot
Jayco is way better than a new age that’s why they’re 60 % of market
Why has the YF have side ribs? thought real plate boats don’t need them. Over priced tinny
Real plate your a real idiot
Telwater are bigger than all other alloy builder combined
