Actually it is possible suppose u did framed structure as well as load bearing structure. Because compressive strength of 3rd class red bricks ( commonly we used for economical Purpose ) is lower than AAC block's. but before construction u should double check with proper structural engineer.

As strong point of view which brick is better red brick or interlocking brick.....?
If you take individual brick test then the interlock Bricks is more strong when compared to red bricks.
If you take wall test on both , red brick wall is more strong when compared to interlocking wall.
Interlock or AAC... EVERYTHING S JUST A COMEDY COMPARED TO RED BRICK CONSTRUCTION.. I HAV EXPERIENCED THIS

1. you haven't hacked the existing wall
2. It is painted so it will tend to crack on corners after plastering.

ANC Builders - Instead of tapering the top position everytime to place an inter locking brick on it for the next level, why don't you keep tapered bricks ready? Moreso, to fit the gap, you break the inter locking brick as required. Since you are aware of the gap which I guess is unform to be filled up, you can keep that many broken pieces ready. It saves time doesn't it? No plastering required on either side for the visible gaps?

Now we use only cement paste as grouting material. There are many other brands in market like AAC block binder.
